“Good Value for Money”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2011

The hotel is quite centrally located. Although the room given to me faced the side road (towards the Nilgiris Supermarket), there was not much noise. I had asked for a triple room, but had to be content with a double room with an extra bed. The beds were quite comfortable and the sheets/blankets clean.
The entire staff - whether reception or housekeeping- is very cooperative and courteous. The rooms are well-maintained and are very clean. There is hot water available throughout the day for shower. An electric kettle and tea bags/sugar, and a couple of mineral water bottles are provided in the room. There is a mini-fridge with a few soft drinks (consumption of which is chargeable). The cupboard is quite spacious with hangers and has a bath robe and carpet slippers. A small locker is also provided. The daily complimentary buffet breakfast consists of a fairly large spread right from a couple of varieties of cereal, to hot steaming soft idlis with chutney and sambhar, and either pongal or uppuma, medu vadas, poori and potato, idiappam, cut fruits, toast and eggs made to order, sausages, paratha and kurma. We did not go in for the elaborate buffet dinner; had ala carte instead during our 3 night stay and the dishes were well-prepared. The food in the hotel however is a bit on the expensive side which may be due to the fact that it appears to be frequented more by corporate customers who may not be very sensitive to the price.
In particular, would like to mention extra hospitality shown by one of the reception staff during check-out. The 24 hour check out was getting over at 6 am and we had requested that we be allowed to check out at 8 am as our flight was around that time. We were not only allowed to wait for sometime in the reception but were also invited to have the morning breakfast before leaving. It is small gestures like these which define one's impressions about the service level and hospitality, and which are crucial in making one return to the same hotel on a repeated basis and for recommending. Unlike certain other hotels, there was also no obvious lingering and hankering for tips at every stage, which was quite a welcome relief. The travel desk at the hotel however requires to price its transport reasonably. The quotation for airport drop was almost twice that of the radio taxis. Overall, a good hotel and would recommend.

I had to stay here with few Japanese customers. I suggested this hotel because I have tasted food here, and I was sure that the service would be good for foreign customers.

4 native japanese had come here on an official trip. First few days I stayed with them because they could not even understand simple english. I was so surprised by the way the house keeping guys managed to talk to them when I was away. Within a week the Japanese could manage without me.

Our office is near Sriperumbudur. We wanted to take the Japanese to a closer hotel. But the japanese refused to shift hotel and said they felt comfortable in Quality inn sabari and would not allow me to look for a different hotel.

Hats off for quality service as is in the name.

The Hotel is Centrally located, close to Pondy Bazar in T Nagar.
Rooms are comfortable and the bathroom was adequate (supplies could do with an upgrade).
Staff are pleasant, and willing to go the extra mile.
Dinner Buffet is an extensive spread, although at 450/-, perhaps a little pricier than competition. Breakfast was OK but with a tilt towards the Vada / Idli / Dosa options; wish there were more than one cut fruit, and would have appreciated sausages/ bacon/ muffins/ croissants etc.
Wi-Fi is Rs 100/- + taxes per hour which sounds reasonable. For 5-10 mins of usage, the Front Desk was kind enough to let me use their compact Business Centre, gratis.

Banquet space was well organised for our conference, and staff was attentive as well as responsive to our needs.

Facilities are good. Buffet dinner has good varieties but we need to request the staff for replenishment every time. Front Office personnel are good. Overall a good hotel to stay and enjoy even though it is outskirts of the city

I have been to this hotel atleast 7 times in the last one year by the virtue of my company having a tie up with them. Here is what i think about this hotel
Location:- Centrally located in T-nagar
Price:- Found it a little pricy
Service:- Excellent service, never had to complain
Room:- Just about right, nothing exceptional but nothing bad either
Food:- I found the selection limited, especially the room service menu

The only Con is that they charge for Wi-Fi where in hotels in similar range offer it to you for free, infact i have stayed in Quality inn Mumbai & Gurgaon and they offer free Wi-Fi. I mentioned it to the manager and managed to get 1 hour complimentary Wi-Fi every day. Check in /Check out is a breeze and should not take more than 10 min

I have been staying at this hotel since 2003. I travel frequently on official tour. I have found the hotel good for a short stay, food is good only if u are consuming indian local cuisine (be a roman when in Rome as they say) , they have a good chinese joint called Cascade. The buffet breakfast is quite well spread out but i would not venture beyond the usual south Indian breakfast. The rooms are quite spacious with a good facilities. All in all value for money.
