......ONE of the best in chenni The Itc hotels are guarantee of high quality always. The flagship hotel maurya in Delhi is great, the gardenia good, but this one leaves them as a second division ones
The ground floor offers three restaurants of high quality food. As well as the maurya, its overpriced but in this case the food is worth the try. A menu would cost around £60-£80 for two and the service is outstanding. The only problem is that they didn't have the license to sell wines yet so we couldn't order to try... The rooms are big, with a really nicely integrated bathroom, great lighting and everything controlled remotely via ipad. Even you can open the door remotely with it! It has a walking in shower and a separated toilet for better intimacy. The swimming pool is in the roof floor. It has a big one, a small one rounded for groups, and a massive jacuzzi. The gym is in the same floor so you can jump directly to the swimming pool. I didn't try the spa-massage though in here. The location is not in the centre of the city but it's in a walking distance of T-naga, a hub for shopping and a vibrating place of the city.. Because it's new and they are still refurnishing the hotel, the price is cheap, around 8k rupees, what is around £100. With taxes would come up to 10k plus the internet that is 1200 rupees a day (something if any to be dissapointed of the ITC hotels) The buffet is the biggest of the ITC restaurants. Full offer of northern, southern indian and continental food. For business it doesn't seem so popular although they had already few conventions for large international companies... For sure it will be the place to go for them and the rates will raise. Either for turism or business this is a nice place to stay.

This huge palace with many entrances. The room is very big with all the amentites. Service is good. Th food prices are very high. At the moment the room rates are cheap for this hotel. Out of the city . Entrance out of the hotel is bad. Very easy to get lost on this property. All services are controlled by Ipad without any resets. Certain services are slow. Staff needed to be trained.
Very good hotel to stay.

This hotel is not completely finished yet, hence my not giving it excellent. There is still some building noise and some facilities are not open yet. However I can't imagine we will be able to afford to stay there once it is complete. It is a magnificent building inside and out. The pools are lovely and the life guards superb with a high standard of english spoken and understood. The staff are most helpful. We tried the italian and tandoori restaurants hich were very good indeed.Four nights were not enough!

Room Tip: Our room, which was at the cheapest level but still sumptuous had a view of the race course which wo...

This is a 3-month new Flagship Luxury property in Chennai of the ITC Hotel Chain, located close to the Airport. Large acreage, large palatial structure with large interiors & massive columns - all signifying the ambitious Chola kingdom that built the huge 'BIg' Temple centuries ago in this State. 3 large pools, Gym, Spa etc. are lavish.

While the massive size, both external & internal, are impressive, the relatively lower height of the two wings of the main lobby & the predominant brown decor tend to be somewhat intimidating & claustrophobic. The Elevators are silent & quick, but have both manual & electronic key-card operation, & the latter was not working in some.

The Executive Club room that we stayed in was somewhat cramped, mainly due to the large space occupied by the en suite bathroom with Tub & separate cubicles for the WC & Shower.
Rooms are well-appointed as is to be expected in this Luxury-class Hotel, with Sofas, Mini-bar, Tea service, Work-table, Flat-screen, Mini-safe, room-iron (but with oversize plug !)etc. Very comfortable beds with choice of pillows. The AC was freezing, & had to be turned down a lot.

Generally, the staff are everywhere, smiling & eager to please, but need more training to be able to respond to specific guest requests for info. It was disappointing that our advance requests for customised stay were not honored on arrival at check-in, & room utilities provided were only for one guest even though we were a couple. Service in the Mercara Coffee Shop was slow, and our lunch Fish orders were served very dry. The Buffet breakfast spread in the Madras Pavilion was lavish & very good, though the food counters spread all over amidst massive mirrored columns made moving around somewhat disconcerting !

This ITC Hotel is still work-in-progress, with some signature restaurants, shopping arcade etc. yet to open, so hopefully their usual high standards of service will be in place soon.

Room Tip: There are no really good external views to speak of, so you'd be better off asking for a pool-vi...

The moment you enter this property in a Maharaja style, you get a feeling of a royal welcome and you are mesmerized by the surroundings. You raise your eyes to view what is up and up and upto roof. You might have seen old palaces but here you see what a new palace looks like. And as you move to your room viewing other facilities around, you see the best in the world. The best variety ever had in breakfast includes low calorie modern to heavy like a king. Dining options include from South Indian royal food to Peshawari delicacies. A place you would love to come again and again.

Room Tip: Higher floors for better outer view.
