Description: Burgundy's is a creation of VipinSachdev& Chef Willi where we offer a wide spread of World Cuisines. Situated in the swanky residential area of MRC Nagar, at Somerset luxury serviced apartments, the restaurant caters to various clienteles from families, corporates, couples and children. We offer a variety of seating options and dining sections to choose from, including outdoor seating, which is very popular in the evenings when the wafting sea breeze and star lit skies transport you to an ethereal culinary utopia away from the hustle and bustle of Chennai. Chef Chandra, Head Chef Burgundy's, prides himself on serving impeccably presented food without compromising on taste. The dishes offered are based on a selection of Mediterranean, European and Indian classics along with Pan Asian specialties. Burgundy's offers an Al-a-Carte selection on Monday and Tuesday, while the rest of the week, from Wednesday to Sunday, is a buffet concept for lunch and dinner. Burgundy's in Chennai scores a perfect 10 on every parameter, starting from the location, nestled in the new CBD of chennai- MRC nagar- to the size of the restaurant and the ambience is very elegant. The spread is wide.one of the rare places where you can have a "kootu" to the SE Asian dishes all side by side.. but a word of caution.. the spread is little too wide for the appetite of an average person.. so you might have to make 2 visits to try the entire spread.. another plus point si that since its part of a star hotel one can enjoy chilled KF along with the buffet..All in all a great experience..

Dear PSPuvacha, thank you for your visit to Burgundy's during your visit to Chennai. We are really happy that you enjoyed the food we served, we believe in good food, in a great ambiance with excellent service and great value for money. With our buffet spread being so large we would like to ensure our guests get value for money and we cater to all our guests, we are happy that we could deliver those. We look forward to your patronage. We do recommend you try our Italian Restaurant Tuscana located on Chamiers road serving authentic wood fired pizzas, delicious desserts to indulge in. We are sure you will enjoy the food, ambiance and service there. Do give us your feedback on the same. Hope to see you soon again.

“Just the Best One in City”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Our dinning experience couldn't get better last evening, thanks to Burgundy's. I have tried pizzas, pastas and Indian food here and my preferred choice in the future would be - Indian Food anytime, for the authenticity they owe in aromas and flavor. It was a sunday evening, the place was super crowded the order appeared late on our table but the food did full justice to the delay..

Pindi Chole was heaven.. Yellow daal was just fantastic and the Paneer Tikka Masala was heavenly!

+ Staff was courteous - They ensured we were served really well! They have ability to serve you with a smile :)

I only wish they added some more items to the Menu :)

For 8 of us it costed us Rs. 4,000/- (Including Beverages)

They have a breezy lawn with a play area for kids! :)

“I will never go here again”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Chose this place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I regret that decision every day now. When i reached there, we are welcomed by great ambiance and pleasant atmosphere. We never know that this all will be ruined soon. We were told that the buffet is costing around 1100/- per person, which looked very high to me compared to other front line restaurants. We went very ambitiously to have our food. Looking at the food spread, we felt that it is not worth even 25% of the cost. Soup was good. But after soup, there was nothing. Salads were disappointing, I saw only 1 rice, 2 gravies which was very cold. All that available was pani puri and some chat items. Even, we tried that and found it was too salty and could not take it. This is the first time i saw ice creams, sweets not available in dinner buffet. When enquired, they said they are out of stock. Non veg was very cold, stale and without any taste. Totally, our anniversary is ruined. I am still regretting about going this place and that too on a memorable day.

Dear friend,
We are extremely sorry for the terrible experience you had at Burgundy’s. Our dinner/Sunday luncheon buffet consists of a complete salad bar, starters such as kebabs, etc served to your table, thin-crust pizzas, main course specializing in Indian food, some selected continental items, chat, a live grill counter, and a complete dessert buffet. We are very sorry that we failed to serve you a great experience on your special day. This has to be a day where we all failed. Please accept my apologies & convey my apologies to your wife too. At Burgundy’s, we aim to make every single customer’s meal special & this is our endeavor. We look forward to your visit again & I assure you that we will deliver delight to you.
Warm Regards.
Vipin Sachdev.

“Perfecto”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

If you want the works as far as Pan-Indian cuisine goes — be it Biryani, a host of curries and even porriyal — Burgundy's is the place to dine. I, on my part, am not exactly a fan of curries and porriyals. Burgundy's, however, has plenty of continental appetizers (some delightful chicken kebabs, grilled fish and a lovely thin-crust pizza) to more than make up for that. So good were these starters that some delicious butter naan and spiced beef were all that featured on my main course. There's no denying, however, that the restaurant could do with a bit more far-east options (some chopsuey and Sichuan cuisine wouldn't hurt now, would it?). Anyhow, five stars for an amazing spread, extremely courteous service, a more-than-delightful dessert counter (with some lovely strawberry and blueberry gateaux, and the choicest Indian sweets on offer, who could ask for more?), and a mind-blowing ambience. Burgundy's, you beauty!

“Somerset Restaurant”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

We lived in Somerset Greenways Chennai just the above accommodation of the restaurant and used to take diner and breakfast in Burgundy's each day during more than one month. Breakfast os poor if we compare with all the other 5 star hotel in the city. No orange juice available because it was " not the season " ... Only buffet was available and they never proposed us the Menu.
So no real change during one month and still the same meal ! ! So it was good in the first days and boring at the end ...

Dear friend,
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry for your not so good experience in the buffet breakfast that we serve the guests staying at Somerset serviced apartments. At Burgundy’s for breakfast alone we are a buffet only restaurant specializing mainly in continental & south Indian food with a limited menu discussed with & decided by Somerset service apartment’s management. We are very sorry that there was no orange juice, which I agree is not acceptable. I will be looking into this matter so that your next experience is a positive one. Lunch & Dinner during which time we offer a la carte & buffet is planned by Burgundy’s & I am glad your dinner experience at Burgundy’s has been great. We hope to see you soon!
Regards.
