Once you get past the Indian Government Red Tape it is well worth it. Plan well ahead if you want to fish, it is not Barracuda Bays fault but rather since you are entering the Port of Chennai you have to go through Immigration hoops. You will need to send a copy of your Passport and Visa (showing the Immigration into India Stamp) we took digital Pictures and emailed them at least 1 week before hand. When you get there you have a few more hoops to get through before you can get in. Start early to give yourself time and hide your cameras until you get on the boat not allowed in the Port.
Once we got onboard we had a great time. There was 4 of us and with the 3 person crew it was a little cramped on the 27' Mako Polo. The fishing was not good but that's why they call it fishing and not catching. The crew tried hard and kept us out longer than our 3 hours trying to get all of us to reel in a fish. We reeled in 2 King Macks and a Bonito but since we had not arranged a place to cook them (check with your hotel) we gave them to the crew.
