This beach is the same of Marina Beach but is not so Crowded. This place has swimming pools and a temple so near to it. This beach's real name is Elliot's Beach

nice place to spend sometime in the evening. but the ever increasing hawkers with permanent stalls spoiling the beauty of the beach. Visitors also contribute to spoiling natural beauty. still a little fun left in this place

Smaller than the Marina stretch, this one is more personal and less crowded than Marina. Wonderful options of restaurants near the beach make this a perfect spot for couples and folks looking for an evening out

This is one of the best beaches in Chennai. In fact can also call it the best beach in Chennai. One can find huge crowd on the beach on any given day. People have a lot of option for food. Apart from local hawkers on the beach, planet Yumm is situated just next to the beach and has a variety of reputed food outlets serving the masses.

There aren't many places in Chennai for sight seeing but this place surely needs a look see. If you like a calm, serene place with surf & sand, its got to be Bessy as she's locally called by the new generation. The crowd has grown over the years, but the trend has been educated & decent.Lots of food spots & some carry the brand name & value.Weekends are a full house & parking is quite difficult, hence stop in the by lanes around & take a walk. You have a few surrounding places like, Vellankani church, Ashtalakshmi temple.
