The food is still good as South indian thaali and Bombay meals and special Mathura meals exist even today but the place is run down and lightings are very old. It used to be fashionable in 80's for a dull light setting, but no more. Bright lights without glare in the table is the new thing in but Mathura is still the old. what this causes is the ambience is boring and uninteresting. The food is not creative. But for die-hard fans from triplicane and egmore, this place will be difficult to visit. there are so many options available also than this place now.

Regularly visit the place with family and friends. We also meet on special occasions viz are birthday function, wedding anniversary and entertaining our friends from outstation. The location is right on the heart of the city and provides a good atmosphere for all occasions.

It is really a very good resturant at the heart of chennai.
The taste of food is really good and the steward are really knowledgable and courteous. I really like the south indian Thali and DOSA items.

Don't miss this when you visit chennai.
