Only thing decent about this hotel is its location. Just a few metres from the T.Nagar shopping belt. The breakfast is so pathetic and way below standards. The roof top garden is mosquito infested and the food served is so mediocre.
Hotel staff are not that friendly. The rooms are basic, very run down. The bathrooms are very poorly maintained, the so called seperate shower room is not partioned so expect to have your whole bathroom wet after a shower. Even the toilet seats are worn off.
Definately many better options at the same price range within the same area.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the main road is very noisy, don't ever opt for their so called new wing. It is really terrible.

The room interiors and bath room fittings are worn out, the switchboard attached to the bedside table and plug points were not working. Though there was provision for hot water in the bath room, i couldnt find hot water till 9 am. The buffet breakfast in the ground floor restaurant had limited but good quality items. I had not tried the roof-top restaurant.

The ONLY thing which works in favor of this hotel is the location. The main market area of T.Nagar is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The rooms are okay but the decor could be better. Although the roof-top restaurant has a nice ambiance, the quality of food is just about okay. Room service is below average and overall efficiency of the staff is average.

I had been to the restaurants in this hotel multiple times before. So when my usual place did not have a vacancy on short notice, I decided to try out staying in this hotel.

First the good things - Brilliant location, reasonably clean room, standard fixtures, hassle-free check-in and good sleep quality. The bathroom, though small, had running hot water and the towel was clean and white (very important, in my book!)

The not so good things - The rooms have subtle and not so subtle signs of decay. It is evident in the corners of both the room and the bathroom, where you can see a layer of collected dirt. The flush handle leaks every time one uses it, and there is a deposit of what looks like rust (I hope its rust, and nothing more yucky!.) The toiletries are cheap.

Most importantly, what put me off was its "wannabe" attitude. The language used to advertise its restaurants would have made any grammarian frown, but that is forgivable (after all, no one chooses a hotel based on linguistics.) But what is not forgivable are the multiple stains on the table cloths (always there!) and the equally annoying stains on the waiter's cuffs. Also, if you call the reception or room service, they start with rather accented English but it soon becomes evident that unless you speak the local language, a simple communication to order room service dinner can be a major pain.

And yes, please do not order red wine! It will come in a water glass, and though I am no sommelier, I am certain it was not wine. Rather, it was some indeterminate dark liquid with some alcohol infused in it, and it had scary deposits at the bottom of the glass!

Summarizing: Good place to sleep and reasonably good food. Definitely good value for money. Can be quite a pleasant stay if you are not put off by the subtle signs of decay and the wannabe attitude (or actually like them for the attitude!) :-)

Room Tip: Do not order wines! Stick to usual drinks that come in standard bottles!
