We selected this hotel via a good Lonely Planet review. We'd been traveling around India for almost two weeks, staying in budget hotels every step of the way, so we thought we knew what to expect. The website made the place look even more posh than the other places we'd stayed in, but it was all a lie. When we arrived, the men at the front desk were extremely rude and it took a lot for us to find out that our room wasn't ready yet. They asked that we pay for the room in advance, and after seeing how small the rooms were, we requested a second room to accommodate the three of us. They told us it would be ready in 20 minutes. We went out to dinner and when we returned, they had given our room away, and the hotel was completely booked. The staff was completely inept and arrogant, and it was clear that they were not going to do anything to resolve the mistake that had been made. We needed to move to a different hotel for the night, and they refused to give us a refund for the advance payment, even though there was no proper paperwork that showed a "no refund" hotel policy. We were forced, three women, to go out into the streets at 11:00pm at night to find an alternative hotel. The neighborhood itself is a bit dodgy, so while there were other hotels in the area, all seemed comparable to the one we had just left. Not worth the $40 or the headache.

Its a decent place to stay when you have a long gap in your train schedule... Food's ok, you have other places nearby, so not to worry. Not a speciality eating joint. Dont expect more than than a proper breakfast. Rooms are ok. Best thing is 24 hr check out. Friendly staff. Hope the hotle has improvised their kitchen staff by now.

NICE FOUNTAIN in the lounge welcomed us. FOOD QUALITY AND PRICE was excellently good and moderate. ROOM SERVICE requires some more attention. CLEANLINESS of the rooms were praising . IN just opposite MADRAS EGMORE STATION , the hotel accommodates the limited budget people. It's having a beautiful auditorium in the basement where social gathering, meeting of about 500 people can be arranged nicely. The lift service was excellent.

We had to stay at this hotel because we needed a hotel for our stop-over in Chennai en-route to the Andamans...

the staff is very friendly...the food is okay, not great...it's mostly not very expensive except for the fruit juices which almost touch the prices of champaigne ;) the room was comfortable enough...the room has a tv set...we paid 1200 for an overnight stay (checked out early morning)....
