This is a lovely building in beautiful countryside with willing and helpful staff BUT it is too expensive for what it currently is.The owners should either reduce their prices or charge the same and dramatically increase the services and facilities. The competition for visitors is intense now in Rajasthan. Why were there only 2 or 3 rooms occupied out of 14 while we were staying in the height of the season?
Breakfast should have lots more choices : more juices, more cereals, yoghurts.
Rooms should have tea/coffee facilities.Water should not be charged at all.
Snack lunch of a cheese/tomato sandwich consisted of a few tiny grated cheese pieces and disintigrating bread!
There is a spa,in name, but not as US/European visitors would know it.It needs to be dramatically upgraded or not called a spa.
This place has enormous potential but only if the owner is prepared to take the steps necessary.

We appreciate these comments. We are already in the process of providing greater value to our guests. The significant step in that direction, which the reviewer himself/herself benefited from, was the complimentary car with English speaking driver at their disposal during their stay. This has demonstrably given us a competitive edge in relation to comparable properties, in the dense marketplace that the reviewer refers to. We have our own excellent source of drinking water. It is pumped directly from 200 feet below the ground, and its purity and mineral quality has been laboratory-tested to be a notch above the mineral water bottles in the market. Many guests opt for water from this natural source. However, we also place free-of-cost mineral water bottles (from the market) in every room. This was done in the reviewer’s room, too. The only time that we charge for a mineral water bottle is when it is ordered in the restaurant, like any other item of food and beverages. Yes, we do not provide tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. This is because with our property being in pristine natural surroundings, it is possible for ants to creep in easily, drawn by the lingering smells of milk and sugar. As a way out, we offer a 24 hour complimentary service of freshly-made tea/coffee from our coffee bar, a benefit which was enjoyed by the reviewer. We have already initiated a review of our spa, but further improvements will take a little time. What we have in place at the moment are a fully equipped gym; steam, sauna and jacuzzi facilities; and a modestly-priced local Rajasthani massage, with complimentary face-pack in the Rajasthani ayurvedic tradition. We appreciate that this may not tally precisely with the Western view of a spa. While our staff is always trying to produce quality meals, it is possible that there was a loss of attention in making the particular sandwich in this one-off case. We always request our guests to promptly let us know if and when there has been such a slip-up, so that we can redeem it there and then.

The resort in itself is very serene and peaceful. The very first sight of the resort is very calming and brings a little smile on your face.
The rooms are reasonably furnished with clean bed and bath linen. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and ake care of one's tastes.
The food served is good and is made fresh using farm products. Swimming pool is a good area to spend the day at.
The hosts are gracious and accomodating to your needs.
On the hind sight, this place is not meant for families with kids or teenagers as there is no room service, no TV in rooms, no eating or drinking allowed in rooms etc as the idea is to Relax, sleep, unwind and rejuv oneself.

We had an excellent experience at Savista for five days this January . The staff was truly wonderful, the food was the best we had in India, and our room was elegant. We used their taxis to visit Jaipur and also enjoyed the time we spent on the lovely property having massages, reading in the hammock, and enjoying the many terraces. We loved the camel cart ride to visit the nearby villages. Savista gave us an opportunity to really experience the hospitality of India and was a highlight of our visit!

The Savista owners are helpful and polite. The staff is lovely. The building itself is interesting. But do be advised that the hotel is brand new and lacks spa facilities, a lobby in which to read a book, a comfortable restaurant, and staff who have been trained in how to run a hotel. There is also no central heat in the winter and my girlfriend and I were freezing. I travel a lot for work and usually know what to expect after TripAdvisor reviews and hotel websites. This experience was by far the most misleading. I would consider returning if the hotel were much less expensive. As it is now, it's quite overpriced. Keep searching.

We are at a loss regarding this review. It cuts at the very roots of the reviewing process and its legitimacy.
The guest is sovereign and we respect all subjective opinions, whether negative or positive. What is not acceptable is when unethical elements creep into the process, defeating the very purpose of client review.
The purpose of this rejoinder is to register our legitimate protest, and to safeguard our interests from the unfair damage that could arise out of the publication of this review. We wish to state that this review is illegitimate, i.e., it has been written by somebody who has not stayed with us.
1. The reviewer claims that he is from London, United Kingdom, and that he stayed at Savista in the month of January 2011. Our records show that nobody, repeat, nobody from London stayed with us at any time during the month of January. This is open to independent verification. Other elements in this review that are totally false, and that re-strengthen our doubts as regards the authenticity of the reviewer, are as follows:
2. The reviewer advises the travel community that Savista is a “brand new property” and, therefore, totally lacking in facilities. We are in the fourth year of our existence, and Tripadvisor itself has been carrying reviews for the last three years.
3. One of the missing facilities, according to the reviewer, is a lobby or space in which to sit and read a book. Savista is, if anything, over-provisioned with sitting/lounging and reading spaces, both indoor and outdoor. There are several large communal lobbies, lounges, and parlours. There are even more numerous communal outdoor seating arrangements - in the balconies and decks on several levels, courtyards, terraces, hammocks and garden furniture - where one can read a book. In addition, every room has its own external covered balcony, or open sun terrace, or separate sitting room. Most importantly, Savista has a large library stocked with over 4000 books that is open to guests. This space has not only its own seating arrangement, but also opens out onto the pool on one side and an extensive terrace on the other which offer further spaces for lounging.
4. The reviewer also falsely claims that there is no spa facility. The fact is that Savista has its own well stocked gym, and a spa that is outfitted with massage rooms, showers, steam, sauna and jacuzzi facilities.
A guest may choose not to use any of the above facilities. Or they may choose to be unhappy with one or other of them. But to state that the facilities do not exist, is a blatant lie. Hence, our doubt about the genuineness of the reviewer's experience of Savista.

Dr Bhanwar restored privatly the land-house of his parents. With his wife and a very attentfull staff they run this place with all personal attention you may wish.
Rooms have a very tasteful personal touch.
As we arrived in the coldest period of the year , everything was done to make our stay as "warm" and comfortable. Sitting for breakfast in the sun was not always possible and then the diningroom was not so attractive. The pre-diningroom with the fireplace was very causy instead. We go back as soon as possible.

Savista is a beautiful hotel, which lies in very peaceful and quiet surrondings. The rooms are not extremely large but absoluty adequat. Lovely fireplace, good beds. Bathroom very clean and one of the best showers I've ever had in a hotel. The owners do everything to make you feel at home. The staff is very helpfull, but has some difficulty understanding english, since they are employed from the villages around Savista, and so are given a chance to learn a trade. Use the slate in your room to write out your wishes and everything will be fine. Finally, the food is very good.
