perfect stay at Jaipur, with homely atmosphere and food. Centrally located with all major sites near by and hang out places as well as shopping area also near by.

Huge clean rooms and bathroom with big hearted staff.

Room Tip: all is fine.

Jai Niwas

CITY:

Jaipur, India

WOULD I STAY THERE AGAIN:

YES PLEASE!

PRICE/ROOM TYPE:

Rs. 1800, Don’t Know

LOCATION:

Jaipur, close to Pink City South Entrance

SERVICE:

The staff was absolutely amazing and helpful in every way possible. It was my husbands birthday and the same day as the Holi Festival and I asked them if they could help me arrange a secret cake for him. They were happy to do it and thought it was quite fun to help. They sent out a guy to check and see if any shops where open but they weren’t until 5 o clock. I told them I’d come with money before 5. My husbands kept the money so it was a bit tricky to “steal” without him noticing. I came back with Rs. 100 but they said they needed 50 more and I told them that would be hard to do without him noticing so the reception guy just gave 50 rupees from the hotel and I told him I’d pay him back after we ate the cake. We made a deal they’d just stick it in the fridge in the dining hall and I’d get it when we were done. The hotel boys helped me put it on a plate and lit the candles for me. The whole experience with the staff was nothing but positive.

RESTAURANT/FOOD:

The dining hall was nice and simple. Breakfast was a buffet with various continental and indian choices. Not especially good but not bad either. The best thing we tried was the Chinese Vegetable chowmein. A great choice if you’re sick of India food for EVERY meal.

OVERALL APPEARANCE OF ROOM:

AMAZING!! Spacious and clean.

BATHROOM:

The bathroom was so nice. It felt like being back in the US. The shower was large and perfect to sit and scrub yourself down after playing Holi for a few hours.

SERVICES:

The wifi was free and worked well, you get a log in and password with an allotted time limit (5hrs but you can get a new one when it runs out if you want to) the Air Con was powerful and the fan worked great.

BEDDING:

Everything was great with the bed, it was large, clean and comfortable.

EXTRA INFO:

We weren’t actually supposed to stay at the Jai Niwas, we were supposed to stay in a sister hotel called Tara Niwas. There was trouble with our online booking (even though we had paid and got a voucher) so they quickly arranged a room at the Jai Niwas. We were greeted kindly and everything was above expectation. We were so pleased with everything!

Travelled with family and stayed in Deluxe double room (no.20) which was quite spacious.Nice view of lawn from room.Good location near famous MI road..Quiet place, good food, clean rooms,Courteous staff. ICICI bank & ATM, Raj Mandir theatre, are at walkable distance on MI road.Try Raj Kachori & lassi on MI road. Just be careful if coming late night (after 9 pm) by walk. Auto fare - Railway station to Hotel-Rs.70-90. Min fare Rs.50. So travel by cycle rickshaw to nearby places like Albert hall museum (Rs.40). If Hotel allows for extra stay of 4-5 hours after check out without xtra cost, it would be really helpful.

Jaipur was the first destination of my 13 nights Self Drive Trip of Rajasthan. We had a hard time finding the Hotel. Once we found it, it was like a peaceful, green oasis in the midst of bustling MI Road. Beautiful clean rooms facing the Garden. The staff helped us chalk out 2 days of sightseeing in Jaipur. The in-house Restaurant though with limited menu had the most reasonably priced items. Amazing to find chirping birds and running squirrels on the lawns through the day.
Negatives: Approach roads look unsafe especially for walking women in the evenings after the shops close.
Though we had informed about an early check out, nobody at the Reception to check us out. The watchmen didn't know in which room the staff was sleeping. Time is very important on extensive driving vacation.
Mosquitoes entering the rooms in the evening. I suggest putting door closers on all the main door of rooms.
Having said that I will definitely visit Jai Niwas again.

This hotel is quiet, peaceful, friendly and only a short way from the bustle of Jaipur.
We had a deluxe room looking onto the lawn. It was very clean with fan and aircon. Bathroom had a good shower, plenty of hot water, toiletries and floor not soaked after a shower! WiFi worked well in the room. Newspaper delivered free every day.
Had breakfast on the lawn each day, asked for a table outside on the first day and it was ready for us on the following days. Breakfast is a Buffet with pancakes etc cooked to order and delivered to your table with your chai. Evening meal was ordered at the kitchen which was open to view and very clean, good food and value.
Laundry good value and same day service at same reasonable cost.
All staff very helpful and interested in you being happy there, they don't hover for tips as there is one common tip box in reception. Reception arranged transport for our trips around Jaipur when we wanted them.
Got a pre paid tuctuc at the railway station for 50Rp (+5Rp booking fee) and the driver knew where to go although his mate tried hard to sell a tour for the next day.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Shell out the extra for deluxe room

All of us here are glad you liked our services. Tuc tucs are a problem specifically for the shopping racket that most of them are involved in. We have a taxi service through which we try to avoid these irritants.

The hotel is located near the old city centre, but in a quiet surrounding one block from the busy MI road.
The design of the rooms is maybe not that modern, but the bed sleeps nice and the room is really clean! We had a really spacious room, including a large bathroom, airco, fan and a tv with a lot of channels. The staff is very friendly and professional.
They serve a nice breakfast buffet, with fresh home made jam and even muffins. They also have a fairly priced laundry service. And the wifi is very fast!
The rooms are located around a garden and it is quiet all day. A nice place to relax!

Room Tip: Choose one of the deluxe rooms, which are a bit more expensive, but are bigger and located around th...
