The place is too much of India. The room was clean, but outside we felt like to be in a war. Everything destroid. The area is ugly and they dont have structure to provide food. After 1 month in India I advise any western to look for International hotels, with known brands. Is too much to of india AFTER the crazy streets to Go to a hotel without the confort that we are used to have. Altough, the manager is very helpfull and tries hard to help. Also, he found good deals with taxis and tours. Unfortunatelly he is not magic.

We stayed at the Haveli so that my wifes sister and husband from Kerala could get the real feel of a Haveli of Rajastan. To that extent yes it was the right place to stay. For starters , since we were coimng from Delhi we drove down in our own car. The drive is not a very pleasant one, with the roads under repair at various places. Reaching the Hotel or the Haveli would certainly have been impossible without my GPS which fortunately pinpointed the place with such accuracy that we did not even once stop to ask except at the entrance ....since there is no sign board of the Haveli in the front ! The entrance is a little un-nerving since the front of the haveli is yet to be renovated. Once we crossed the front row of the haveli the next layer was fully developed and once we saw our rooms we were very happy. It is indeed a typical Haveli so dont think it will be like a hotel. The whole scene is very informal and the owner and host Mr.Sanjay was a very pleasant and helpful man. The suite we were staying in was decorated very tastefully and was really very good. The bathroom was modern and there were no cleanliness issues. However the disturbing fact was that, we had to waste at least 10 MINUTES of flowing water to get hot water. This definitely needs attention. The dinner was served on the terrace. The ambience was simple but very relaxing. The food especially the "lal maas" was very tasty and the waiters very friendly and informal. However the breakfast definitely needs to be improved both in quality and well as the variety offered.
One of the biggest advantages is the location of the place. Since the older part of Jaipur is very crowded, all we did was park our car and take the autorickshaw . The distances to all the major tourist areas including the shopping are within walking distance , but an auto ride is recommended for those not keen on long walks like my guests !!
All in all we had a great time.

We had 2 lovely nights at this hotel. This is one of the few heritage hotels within the pink city walls. We were warmly greeted with a floral necklace and indian welcome. The room we stayed in was very very spacious (3 double beds) and beautiful and easily accommodated the 3 of us together. The bathroom was also large, clean and well maintained. We felt very comfortable here, the staff are just wonderful and obliging, bringing us a cup of tea in our front room and offering lunch when we arrived. The food is fabulous, curries were delicious and the complementary breakfast included a cooked breakfast if you wanted it. They organised a taxi for our early morning departure to the airport with no worries. You can easily catch a tuk tuk to the bustle of town and the bazaars or to the amber fort, and there are stalls just outside the hotel where you can buy snacks, water etc. Tariff includes wifi. There is a lovely garden in the middle of the property and meals are served there as well which was really pleasant. Air conditioning and fans work a treat. We were sad to leave and will stay there again if we ever return to Jaipur.

Room Tip: we stayed one level up from the ground, in the room right near the stairs. it is HUGE. 3 double beds and heaps of space for everyone. If there are a few of you who want to stay together in one room, this is an excellent choice.

this is a beautiful family home which is being gradually restored using traditional techniques which you will rarely have the chance to observe these days. Here we experienced typical Rajastani style in a warm and comfortable manner without the formality of the larger (and more expensive) hotels. It also gives you access to the old city of Jaipur with its endlessly fascinationg bazaars and alleys. Sanjay and Suresh are so helpful and welcoming - as a former (Australian) resident of Jaipur I would recommend Saba Haveli to anyone wishing to experience the city and surroindings.
