We got taken here by rickshaw driver and on first inspection this hotel looks fantastic highly decorated havelli style, but unfortunately more shabby than chic.
The lack of hot water and a charge of r100 rupees per person per night on top of the already expensive room ensured that we didn't stay for more than one night.
However, my daughter enjoyed a dip in the pool. The rooftop restaurant was lovely but the food was mediocre. There was an Indian puppet show which was highly amusing but as with everything in India a donation was expected.

We stayed here fore two nights and based on other reviews feel like we stayed in a different hotel. Our room was very shabby with dirty smelly sheets. We had to wear flip flops in the bathroom because the floor was so filthy. The staff are rude and indifferent. The decor is dated and our room had scuffs all over the walls. The sister hotel next door is much better and their restaurant is good. It is located quite a way from the sights and amenities if Jaipur.

My husband and I stay at Sajjan Niwas whenever we are in Jaipur. The rooms are very clean and we love the antique furniture and design. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are very affordable. The swimming pool is clean and well maintained as is the hotel. The rooftop restaurant is lovely and there is a good variety to choose from on the menu. The hotel is in a quite cul-de-sac and it is very easy to get into the main centre of Jaipur as there is always transport readily available outside the hotel. We recommend Sajjan Niwas to travellers who enjoy the cultural heritage ambiance of India.

I stayed here for around 3days with my family last winters. The ambiance is very homely and the heritage look adds to the appeal. Although it is quite far from jaipur airport,it's relatively close to other tourist destinations. It is also away from crowded areas of city so you can spend your time with peace and serenity.Taxi and autorikshaws are available on demand,so travelling is not an issue. The staff seemed a bit illtrained and newbies.Although the swimming pool was a bit small,it was well maintained and clean.

We came for a short stay at the place to catch the train next morning. It is quite near to the railway station (~2-3 km) but away from the hustle bustle of the city. Not much shops would be there at walking distance mainly daily necessity shops. You can take an auto to visit MI road to enjoy shopping which is not so far. It is the traditional Rajesthan Hawali with decent clean rooms.
It even has a swimming pool which looked clean but we didn't try.
Food was good and like home made (though a little expensive). Good for a simple stay.
