Working together with Indian craftsmen here is a highlight of Rajasthan. You
can book day-courses or off-the-cuff just hope that a craft worker is on hand who invites you to
participate. To be sure, this museum is worth it ONLY if you have specialized interest.

Some reviewers seem to confuse the museum (now at Amber) with the shop (in central Jaipur). The museum is beautifully presented, full of fascinating materials, with clear and interesting information, housed in a lovely calm, cool building, which is worth visiting in itself. Outside, the hole in the wall cafe serves excellent lime and ginger soda and freshly baked biscuits. Good demonstrations of block making and printing and a chance to have a go if you wish, and a small museum shop for souvenirs, though obviously if you want the full Anokhi retail experience you'll have to go bak into Jaipur.

Small but extremely interesting museum with a wide range of craft and history contained in the exhibits.

I went to the Anokhi Museum expecting a whole lot more. I wonder if I turned right when I should have turned left. Really I just found another version of the shops I find in Delhi. Restaurant was the best part of the visit. Nice food and great atmosphere.

We are really pleased that you liked the shop and the Anokhi Café next door. However, it seems as though you did not visit the museum (which is in the old part of town called Amber, near the Amber fort). It seems to us that you visited our Shop in Jaipur (which is about 15km away from the Museum). If this is the case then we apologies for the confusion and hope you will get a chance to visit the museum on a future visit.
