“Loved the ambience”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

Our room at this hotel was as I imagined a room to be in Jaipur .It had beautiful furniture in a large cosy room . The bed was extremely comfortable ,we had cable t.v ,a bar fridge, fan and air con with a clean roomy bathroom ..we had complimentary water and facilities to make tea and coffee.Every meal we had while staying here was delicious and the Buffett breakfast very good .
The swimming pool was clean and inviting and the staff helpful and friendly .
The only thing I didn't like was the distance to the centre .....

Room Tip: Our room was on the ground floor near the office so sometimes it was a bit noisy .

What a charming place to stay in a very crazy city. The pool is so clean and relaxing you would think you were in a 5 star resort ok maybe not that great but after a long drive from Delhi it was very refreshing. The rooms are comfortable with cable TV and a mini fridge. The hotel has many resting and sitting places so you are not trapped in your room. Good Wifi. The staff are very nice and really try to make your stay comfortable. The restaurant is great not a huge selection but the atmosphere is very enjoyable. Very nicely priced hotel and seems to be a favorite of many westerners. We would defiantly stay here again. It is tough for taxis to find so print off a map for them to help find.

Location was good, 15 minute walk to the pink city. When you walk into the room, it is like entering a palace. Beautiful pillars and decor in the room. The pool was lovely as well. Staff were helpful, food was tasty but expensive.

We visited Jaipur in the month of Aug, 2013 and stayed in this hotel for 3 days. The hotel is good overall with nice hospitality.
Location - Hotel is located just behind the state roadways bus stand but surprisingly is devoid of any noise of the bus-stand.
Rooms - We stayed in the deluxe room. The room had separate space for sofa and table. We stayed on the ground floor and encountered issues with ventilation. There was no verandah with the room and the sun-light was negligible. The other side had no windows either. TV provided was old-world. Apart from these negatives, the room had painting and wall-mounted saucers of Rajashthani culture. The table and chair were culturally fit also.
Service - The service was very good and prompt. Our waiter at the hotel would always comply to our requests courteously. We reached the hotel early by 9 AM and the standard check-in time is 12 but the manager let us in and gave us our room with no complaints.
Food - Food during the breakfast was very good and had good choices for us.
Cons - Only concern was the ventilation and location of the room. It was not airy and well-sun-lighted. It appeared more of a big bungalow converted into a heritage hotel.

Room Tip: Try to look for a room at the first/ second floor as the room at the ground floor may not be well-ve...

Jaipur is a magical, but chaotic city, so we were delighted to finds this small but very clean and comfortable hotel - the staff and friendly and attentive and our room was palatial (room 301, includes his and hers sinks and double shower in the bathroom). Having exhausted ourselves in the day we had dinner at the hotel for two nights - a buffet style indian meal, but very tasty. There is a pool outside and this provide a nice area for a pre-dinner drink. All in all a great retreat in a busy city and a lovely end to our travels in India.

Room Tip: Room 301 is massive, with a good bathroom

I have been staying at Dera Rawatsar, once a year for nearly five years. Nothing has changed its charm, warm hospitality and delicious home cooked food.

In a chaotic place like Jaipur which is full of hawkers, magicians, carpets, block printing, blue pottery, pashmina, snake charmers, silk, gems and semi precious stones etc, one wish to sleep in a good place where you can feel comfortable, not pushed, safe, clean, good food and people you can trust.

I am happy to know this place which can provide a good refuge from a chaotic day. I like the friendly staff of this place very much and their honesty system is admirable in this materialistic town.

The owners are kind and wonderful people..

PS:- Has a clean swimming-pool..

We were very fortunate to have a room upgrade to room 301 - a HUGE room with king-sized four poster bed, beautiful bathroom with his 'n' hers sinks and a double walk in shower with two separate shower heads. The room was beautifully furnished and decorated in opulent Rajahstani style. The hotel is in a very quiet side road off the main drag, behind Sindhi Camp bus station.
We had 3 breakfasts and 1 buffet style dinner at the hotel and all meals were excellent with very attentive staff. We were even assisted by the owner one evening when we needed help - nothing is too much trouble.
Only criticisms would be that the bed linen, although very clean, was a dingy white, as were the bathroom towels which were very hard/course and dingy. Also there is no wi-fi coverage in rooms, only in the communal areas.
We would stay here again.
