We had a nice family room. The rooftop restaurant is a recommender even for people that don't stay at the hotel, it has a wonderful ambience at night. Mr. Singh provides his clients with a very usefull guide (homemade) that we used a lot. We really felt at home.
And all this for a very very interesting price.
We would definitly recommend this hotel even for parents with children.

We stayed for three nights, on arrival at 11.30am we were not able to access our room as the previous occupants had not yet left, so we sat at the rooftop restaurant and had a drink while we waited. We were shown to our room no: 304 at 12.45pm, to find that the toilet didn't flush, the flushing mechanism was broken and had clearly been mended badly on a few occasions, we also found that there were pigeons nesting right outside the window. The toilet was fixed shortly after 6pm, and that''s when the pigeons began to tap on the window! We let reception know about this and they promised to move us the following morning. We moved the following morning to room 309 which was a real improvement, not a pigeon in sight!
We did not enjoy our food in the restaurant which was a shame as it is just such a lovely setting and to be honest Jaipur is not the most pleasant place to be out and about at night. We ordered a non-veg thali (which was cold and the chicken was slimy) and a tomato pasta dish which was very greasy. We also tried breakfast on our first morning, the omelette was ok but the toast came with butter and jam already spread on it (bit strange).

After reading all the great reviews we were looking forward to trying this hotel but still sceptical that it could be that good for that price - it was! Spotlessly clean with friendly staff and owner Mr Singh and his family were all very welcoming. The restaurant on the roof was a little haven away from the madness of the city which is just metres away. Very quiet street. Food was wonderful and the restaurant was full every night.

Our room was really cute with lovely little extra features everywhere. I think 4 star is more appropriate rating but I guess as it doesn't have a pool... Make sure you book well in advance as they were turning people away all the time whenever we were in reception. Mr Singh is building another hotel to keep up with demand and we just hope it is more of the same. The jewellery shop on the roof was good too and had some of the nicest pieces we found anywhere at not bad prices.

Thank you to Mr Singh for providing such a special place for visitors to your country we can't wait to come again in November.

The Pearl Palace is a gem for the budget traveller. We stayed here in February 2009 for two days and considered it to be superior to all the other (more expensive) hotels at which we stayed in India. The hotel is situated just outside the city centre in a quiet residential district and is a welcome break from the bustling downtown Jaipur.

The hotel is run by a husband and wife couple – The Singhs - who justifiably take great pride in their hotel. The hotel has a very personal and welcoming feel, which is reflected in the service, the décor and the general environment. It does not have the impersonal feel of the many commercial hotels around India.

The rooms were of a good size, clean and tastefully decorated with hand decorated walls and individually selected ornaments. Our bathroom was particularly nice with mosaic tiling throughout and a great shower. In our room was a copy of the ‘Aliens Guide to Jaipur’ written by the owners and very helpful and informative.

The hotel has a great rooftop restaurant/bar where you can take all your meals or just have a drink. The area is on two levels and the top level is a great place to watch the sun go down over the rooftops of Jaipur with Kingfisher beer, or two. The restaurant has very good Indian food. We tried Butter Chicken, Tandoori Potatoes, Gobi Aloo and Chana Masala and they were all really good. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The owners ask guests not to tip staff individually but to leave a tip in the box at reception at the end of their stay. This was particularly welcome to us as we were generally expected to tip everyone for virtually everything during our time in India.

This hotel is budget in terms of cost but it certainly didn’t feel like a budget hotel. We would recommend the Pearl Palace, without hesitation, to anyone visiting Jaipur.

I was pleased upon arriving here that the hotel lived up to all the good reviews. We found Mr. Singh helpful and caring, his staff capable and looking to serve. The hotel is very fun, our room was a little small but very cute and inviting. The hotel is clean, the restaurant wonderful. The food is good and the setting is a wonderful view of all of Jaipur. You could pay 30 times more and find a slightly nicer place, but why?

Located in quite street, near by railway station. Hotel runs the best kitchen I ate on my trip in India. As my girl-friend got sick for one day during out two night stay, we could expedience quality room service. Staff is helpful and act friendly. If I show up in Jaipur again then I will stay here.
