Hospitality is pretty good in there.. the ambience is 5star category.. Rooms are just amazing.
Palace simply gives a feel of king in it..:)
Jaipur is almost 40kms from here.. it is situated 10km from yamuna express way.

Room Tip: All Rooms are different its own.. i had almost 5 rooms in the hotel.. and all had difference.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a perfect retreat to rewind and relax, and get away from the humdrum of daily life. The hotel is around 45 minutes from Jaipur in the centre of a crowded satellite town 'Chomu', and seems to have been overlooked by the mainstream tourism industry- we were surprised it wasn't more busy. The lack of guests has not affected the quality of maintenance - our room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had a good experience. The Sheesh Mahal (now a bar) Bar has been caringly restored, and is a must see if you stay at the hotel. In an otherwise well maintained property, we were surprised to find the pavement tiles on the way to the room loose and a clear health and safety hazard - hopefully the management will address it soon.

Rajasthan has so many hidden treasures outside the major tourist attractions which of course deserve to be that. This is not Jaipur but an hour away- not far from Samode Palace and Samode Bagh- also fabulous. Nice rooms, care over details , big courtyard , pleasant swimming pool , helpful, friendly staff . Nothing to do around ( we were here for a wedding in Samode) but Palace itself worth it for atmosphere . Palace near the road so continual blowing of truck horns

Had an excellent stay at Chomu Palace. We were very dubious driving up to it since we could only a see some old fort walls from the street. Went in and were blown away.

Excellent service, nice people, very helpful. 45 minutes away from Jaipur by car, but well worth staying here.

Genuine palace that is more than 350 years old. Highly recommended.

Breakfast and dinner cooked to order and was delicious with silver service.

The palace is beautiful and as I understand from the staff , ample efforts and money have been put it on its renovation. There is beautiful detailing in the architecture and spacious rooms. We had a courtyard facing room and staying there was a beautiful experience.
However, choose it only if you plan to stay within the hotel and treat it as a 'cutoff from the world' sort of a holiday. The staff is helpful and will take for a tour around the palace citing its history. The hotel has absolutely nothing around it, is far from the city and the approach makes you want to take a U turn and head back. But our stay made us feel like royalty themselves and we felt like we had the palace to ourselves. It is ideal for a big fat Indian wedding or for a couples retreat. Infact a wedding just wound up on the day we arrived. If you plan to tour the city and are travelling with kids, then please avoid this place. We were not too pleased with the restaurant as the food was very average.

Room Tip: Courtyard facing rooms

We spent one night at the Chomu palace in December. The grounds are very nice, the room was large and inviting (waiting area, a first small bedroom for the children, and a master bedroom. We had dinner there as well. The hotel staff gave us a quick tour of the city and we went on a 4x4 jeep ride in the surrounding countryside, one of our favorite while visiting India. We'll definitely remember our time at the Palace. if you're looking for a heritage property, this is the place to go.

Like many others, I was a little concerned about where exactly we were going to end up while making our way into Chomu to our hotel. All fears were alleviated once we arrived to this gorgeous palace. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, felt extremely safe, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious and luxurious, and made us feel like we were truly staying a in palace. There's a lovely, clean pool, a restaurant, and a small bar on grounds. We spent about at least an hour just exploring the grounds, and would recommend climbing up the staircase to the fort wall to view the city.

There were only a few other guests there, but we were traveling outside of peak tourist season. That did give it a slightly odd, deserted feel, as other reviewers mentioned, but they were fully staffed and the lack of other guests didn't bother me. We felt like we had the whole palace to ourselves.

As you'll find throughout India, the great disparity between the luxury of the hotel and the poverty outside of the hotel is unsettling. I would highly recommend leaving the hotel grounds and exploring the surrounding town of Chomu. I was a little hesitant to do so at first, having just left Delhi. In Delhi, we were constantly hounded by scam artists and beggars, some so persistent and pushy as to be intimidating. We felt like targets. However, in Chomu the people were sincerely kind, friendly, and helpful. We got lots of smiles from locals, good deals in the shops, and loved the curious little children that followed us around. I would also highly recommend the jeep tour, which takes you out of town into the surrounding farmland and beautiful countryside.

This was one of our favorite stops during our two week tour of India. We loved the small town feel and enjoyed a little time away from crowded tourist sites.

Chomu Palace is an elegant fortified palace hotel which revives the gracious lifestyle of the princes of Rajasthan. Each wall of the hotel reverberates with regal and aristocratic charm. The original work and interiors of the fort takes back to the world of kings and great warriors. Structure & Design: Foundation of Chomugadh (at present Chomu Palace Hotel) was laid by Thakur Karan Singh ji between 1606 and 1621 A.D. The successors of Karan Singh ji continued to make additions to the fort and finally completed by Mohan Singh Ji in 1714 A.D. Most part of the fort was designed according to Indian Vastushastra and Shilpashastra philosophy. The site for the fort was identified by Pandit Prenidasji.
