When arrived around 5pm and checked in. Our room was very clean and had an extra sofa that we used as a 3rd bed since there was 3 of us. There was a tv, ac, waredrobe and small table in the room. The bathroom was average size and the shower worked great. There was even a fan in the bathroom! The hotel inself was quite large with courtyards and neat corridors. At night there were candles lit along the hallways for ambiance. The next morning we went to the restaurant and ordered breakfast. You order and then can sit out in the garden area and drink chai and eat your breakfast. There was the typical choices, parantha, eggs and toast. All the prices were very inexpensive for a hotel. Even the water was only 20 rupees unlike other hotels that charge you 30 or 40. I also got laundry done. I turned it in at 9am and got it back that night, the prices were very good too compared to other places we stayed. We also paid for 2 hours of WiFi and didn't use all the minutes. You have to pay ahead and then go back to the business center if you didn't use all your minutes to get a refund. For the price it was a very good hotel and I would stay here again. We had no problems whatsoever!

*Rooms here really nicely decorated and lovely relaxing garden to sit in.
*Good price for how clean the rooms and rest of the hotel are.
*However, made to feel like Satan for asking if they sell Beer. (The answer NO)
*Staff really quite rude too, especially the big man on the food counter in the restaurant. We had a flight cancelled and the young chap on reception unhelpful at first when I was freaking out trying to find a room for the night.
*Breakfast was ok but the toast was chewy.
*Great location near MI road and easy to get a rickshaw to the sights.

I went to Jaipur in November 2008 with family. Local friends had suggested this hotel, and we'd booked four rooms. They're very flexible - when we arrived, they let us see all the rooms and choose. Being an old residential property converted to a hotel, each room is different, giving the hotel significant charm.

Our experience was the same as that of most other reviewers - clean rooms, quiet place, and terriffic value. The staff is non-intrusive bur efficient, and the place is immaculate. The rooms are small but comfortable, and we didn't spend much time in them anyway. The place has been very sensibly renovated. It still retains charm and character, but is thoroughly modern where it's needed -- the bathrooms, LCD TV, air conditioning, etc.

There's no pool, or any other entertainment. However, Jaipur has so much to do, by way of sight seeing and shopping, that we didn't really miss it. In fact, we didn't even get time to enjoy the tempting sit out on the first floor, though we wanted to. Jaipur's like that...

Food was a good experience, too. There's a lawn out front where you can serve your breakfast and sit at the tables. Lunch and dinner are inside the restaurant. The menu is somewhat limited, but there are new items each day, so it's pretty interesting for a few days' stay. The food is vegetarian only. Suited us, but for those it doesn't, Jaipur has dozens of good eateries.

The parking area is perhaps inadequate - our cars were usually out on the street, because we usually came back late. But these are minor quibbles. On the whole, this hotel is clean, comfortable, and terriffic value.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It is clean and very comfortable with a great no frills restaurant/cafeteria. Staff were friendly and helpful.
