I went to Jaipur in November 2008 with family. Local friends had suggested this hotel, and we'd booked four rooms. They're very flexible - when we arrived, they let us see all the rooms and choose. Being an old residential property converted to a hotel, each room is different, giving the hotel significant charm.

Our experience was the same as that of most other reviewers - clean rooms, quiet place, and terriffic value. The staff is non-intrusive bur efficient, and the place is immaculate. The rooms are small but comfortable, and we didn't spend much time in them anyway. The place has been very sensibly renovated. It still retains charm and character, but is thoroughly modern where it's needed -- the bathrooms, LCD TV, air conditioning, etc.

There's no pool, or any other entertainment. However, Jaipur has so much to do, by way of sight seeing and shopping, that we didn't really miss it. In fact, we didn't even get time to enjoy the tempting sit out on the first floor, though we wanted to. Jaipur's like that...

Food was a good experience, too. There's a lawn out front where you can serve your breakfast and sit at the tables. Lunch and dinner are inside the restaurant. The menu is somewhat limited, but there are new items each day, so it's pretty interesting for a few days' stay. The food is vegetarian only. Suited us, but for those it doesn't, Jaipur has dozens of good eateries.

The parking area is perhaps inadequate - our cars were usually out on the street, because we usually came back late. But these are minor quibbles. On the whole, this hotel is clean, comfortable, and terriffic value.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. It is clean and very comfortable with a great no frills restaurant/cafeteria. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great resturant, Very good souvenir shops inside the hotel. Rooms are also good. It was hard to believe that we can get such a good facility for so little price. "Arya Niwas Guys! you are doing a great job. Keep it up!" Cheers!

At just 1500 bucks for a night for an AC room, its a steal ! We were very pleased with our room.. it was quite spacious, neat and the bathroom was very clean. It was decorated in a traditional haveli style. The location is convenient, just a few minutes drive to the railway station or bus station. We especially liked the restaurant's self service system where we could get some good meals at great prices. There isnt much of a view from the rooms, but we cant expect that when staying in the middle of the busy city. No street noise, thanks to the hotel being slightly away from the main street. The main street has the necessities - restaurants, shops, medical shop, ATMs etc. If you are looking for a cheap but clean accomodation in Jaipur for personal travel or leisure, look no further !

The hotel is great budget choice - clean and safe - as a solo female traveler those are two very important factors. The restaurant offered a good selection of cheap food with one of the best fruit plates. The location is surprising quiet away from the noise of Jaipur. There is a beautiful front yard where you can relax. For the price the hotel is a great option

A family run hote, Arya Niwas is unusually effecient and economical for the budget conscious traveller. In a completely different league to the five stars of the world, the hotel is ideal for someone like me who wants to get away from the Mariotts and Taj's of the world.

With a beautifully maintained garden and a homely feel to the palce, the ancestral home turned hotel is close to the city and is a geat place to unwind and stay when in Jaipur. An environment conscious environment, combined with a beautiful lush green property, the home cooked meals are worth digging your fingers into.

Extremely comfortable rooms and friendly staff, they will also provide guidance and sightseeing options to travel in and around Jaipur. Make sure you book in advance as they are popular throughout the year.
