Reviewed September 10, 2013

Definitely the best value / price that I met in India, The hotel is nice and cozy, is a large building full of patios. It has a very nice garden and a restaurant where you can eat well, There are sheets and towels in all the rooms, changed every day , the rooms are clean and tidy, bathroom are very clean, this place is near by old market , I will recommend this place to all the travellers

Arya Niwas was a great surprise. The charm of staying in a hertitage propoerty is expreinces best here. We had travelled as a couple and stayed in one of the premium rooms. The room was very cleanm, tastefully done, large and really comfortable. The terrace in particular is a delight to sit on at night. The food is good and well priced. The hotel is a true value for money. It's a family run place which is beaitifully decorated and mainatnied with care and passion. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have visited this beautiful hotel every time I am in Jaipur, at least once a year, if not twice. The hotel is located in the centre of Jaipur so it is close to all the sites of interests and off course Shopping. The rooms are very clean, specially the bathroom. The staff, always polite and friendly. Food is well prepared and tasty. The best thing about Arya Niwas is that it is modern but maintained the heritage of the Raj.

In addition to this, a good selection of books in the library to loose yourself into oblivion, especially when sitting on one of those armchairs in the veranda and feeling like never wanting to get up, just sitting there for hours in the tranquillity of the place, yet few hundred yards away there is the hustling and bustling of the regular crowd of Jaipur.

Room Tip: 'corner suites are large and sunny' but then all rooms are good and will suit someone.

I have visited this hotel on many occasions and find it a little oasis of calm in Jaipur. The rooms are a little basic but always very clean, the staff are exceptional and are always willing to help with any advice i may need. The kitchens are some of the cleanest i have ever seen, the food is always well cooked and their fruit salads are something i always look forward to. The travel bureau give wonderful advice on onward journeys giving hints on the best and cheapest ways to travel. There is an excellent gift shop whose prices are some of the best in town. A very safe and comfortable environment for the single traveler and families alike. The only downside are the hosts of auto rickshaws plying for trade, but these respond well to a simple 'no thank you'.

Room Tip: Rooms on the right are quieter, the larger a/c rooms with a balcony are worth the extra. Beware of m...

The Arya Niwas is a perfectly nice hotel for the prices quoted and they are clearly a large and professional organisation.

The room was clean and more than adequate for our requirements and as such, our time spent there was nice.

The lovely lady in the kitchen taught us to cook some of India's traditional dishes (obviously at a price) but did so happily and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience which I would recommend to anyone.

My only slight negative was that because it is clearly a larger organisation, I felt the staff on the front desk maybe weren't as friendly or happy to help us with any queries we had and that we were maybe troubling them in asking questions.

Despite this, it was a nice stay in Jaipur although a fair way out of the 'centre' which we found to our peril having tried to walk in on our first afternoon - rikshaw thereafter but as ever, this could be construed positively as this area was quieter and more relaxed.

Glad you liked the cooking classes as well.
I am surprised you found the location a little way out, we are in downtown Jaipur and about a kilometre from the old walled city. Unfortunately Indian traffic is chaotic which means that walking is not always the right option.

Jaipur, our lovely home town is a great place to visit and all of us hope that you liked your stay here and will return.

I stayed for 1 night recently 17th August, 2013 and booked 2 Deluxe Double Rooms on the 2nd Floor. The rooms afforded us good front lawn views, were adequately large with a small pantry (Refrigerator, Sink, and Kettle). Bathroom was also clean and decently sized with a bathtub and modern fittings as well as clean linen.

The staff is polite, professional and eager to please. They have a no tipping policy and I had no staff lingering on in the background hinting his expectation for a tip. A common tipping box is available in the reception lobby where you can, at will... And in all probabilities, you will, given the good service.

The cafeteria is well stocked and serves Indian and continental ( At least, the breakfast) cuisine with low spices catering to Global audience/ taste buds.

All in all an excellent "value for money" property. Only 'Con' being, it's location which is great on a macro level- In the heart of the pink city, near MI Road, etc etc but on a micro level, the approach roads are far from pleasing.
