This Hotel is very clean, with large rooms and own bathroom and a lovely lawn garden area with cane chairs to sit and enjoy the great food. Very well priced, well located and a great find.
The front desk staff are a bit stand offish but efficient.
I have stayed twice and look forward to staying again.

Room Tip: The drivers at the hotel are fantastic. If you would like to get around this is the way to go as Jai...

Greetings from all of us at Arya Niwas Jaipur.

Thank you for taking out the time to write a review and also for the kind words. All of us are glad that you liked our services and facilities.

Will talk to the front office staff as well, hopefully they will be more friendly when you visit us the next time! Sometimes, they get flustered by work and then are more officious - though it is no excuse not to be friendly!!

I travelled for 8 days in Rajastan and kept on coming back to your hotel. Each time I was thrilled to return, I loved my stay there, the rooms, the staff, the food, the garden. I used the laundry facilities and the very very helpful guy in the wi-fi room, who booked all my trains, flights, buses abnd hotels for my Rajastan trip. I will always return to your hotel every time I am in Jaipur.

Room Tip: Each room was excellent.

This impeccably run small hotel will never disappoint for cleanliness and smiling service. I have been going there for more than a decade and have witnessed the multitudinous small tweaks given to rooms and service that make it a completely pleasant and predictable stay. The dining room is finally serving decent salads (and, now, croissants!) along with their usual fare of totally unexciting vegetarian food and, who knows?, they may one day finally give in to pleas for really decent coffee and desserts (vegetarian of course).

We are serving freshly ground coffee - arabica beans that we get from a supplier in Kerala. We serve the coffee in french press coffee percolators now. We are also growing our own parsley now, so the salads and sandwiches are a little bit nicer!

Very good Value for every penny spent. Neat Rooms, Clean Kitchen and Simple great food. No fancy shows anywhere - Room or Kitchen. Moreover, centrally located. Very friendly and suitable for Family, Tourists and Single Ladies on shopping trip. This is good and safe for ladies, as Jaipur is paradise for Ladies Shopping.

This is a great hotel just minutes from some of Jaipurs most popular attractions. As other reviewers have noted, this is not a "high-end" hotel, but it is a charming and clean place to relax amid the hustle and bustle of Jaipur.
Ask for a room on the rooftop. You can then take advantage of the rooftop decks for morning coffee and evening cocktails. If you want you may collect a few crashed kites- there were always a few lying around. I got a short kite flying lesson from an Indian guest. If you are on the deck, make sure your room door is closed as there are burglars around. Monkey burglars! One of our party left their door open and returned to the room to find monkeys going through their things! This in "downtown" Jaipur. The restaurant is quirky but the food is good and safe for western tummies.
If you need a taxi to visit the sites, I recommend you ask for Mr. Sharma. His Ambassador Classic is spotless and he is a charming man. I discussed the Ramayana with him at great length. Also, if you leave the hotel on foot and turn right out of front gate, on the left about a block along there is a basement store selling textiles at rock bottom prices. Worth a visit. Also in the hotel there is a small shop selling all sorts of things, including some nice jewellry. If you are looking for some famous Jaipur silver, I highly recommend Amrapali Jewellers in Jaipur. Mr. Sharma knows the way!

Sorry for the monkey episode. As the city is growing and trees get lesser, animals have a tough time adjusting. We are trying to scare / lure the monkeys off the hotel. It should not be a problem in the future, I hope!

We stayed in Arya Niwas in Janaury, 2013. We thought it to be a 2 star property, were worried on the way about location, but it turned out to be very easy to find. The moment we entered the property we were pleasantly surprised. What a beautiful haveli it is! Well built reception area, everything was spacious and so well maintained. We stayed in a superior room, top floor with view of terrace garden. Room was spacious, full marks for cleaniness. The food was superb, and so decently priced, we ended up having all meals inside the hotel. Room service (athough it is for snacks and drinks only) is fast. The location is so good, if you don't mind walking 20-25mins, you can actually walk all the way to Jhauri bazaar, Hawa Mahal and Bapu bazaar. We did. Highly recommended for anyone looking for hertiage property yet afforable with great service.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms and terrace garden is really nice for morning/evening tea.

All of us here are glad you liked our services, particularly the food. My Aunt is the owner manager of the cafe and she is very particular about how the place is run and also for the quality of produce.

I hope to see you again in our lovely home town of Jaipur.
