visited Delhi ,Agra and Jaipur. This was a tailor made hloiday as my friend wanted to spend plenty of time in Taj Mahal(sunset and sunrise). The guides very informative and drivers were very helpful and careful.Narendra always available to clarify our concerns. The hotels booked were all excellent ones and plenty of time to spend in all the monuments plus local shopping. This was the third time we are using this agency.Cant fault anything with thier serivce.

We found CIH on the Internet and went by the positive reviews. We were two women traveling together and had never been to India before. I gave them our arrival date and the day we needed to be in Dharamsala and what we wanted to see- they took care of everything- all our travel arrangements. Our driver in Delhi and Agra - Mr. Peja - was terrific and really watched out for us. We did get scammed at the Delhi train station- but that was not the fault of the tour company. We had such a great experience- we asked the company to make arrangements for us to return to Delhi and tour the Golden Temple on the way back. Our driver Mr. Singh was very friendly and helpful. Mr. Peja picked us up at the train and made sure we found our way out of thectrain station with a porter. We always felt safe. I would hire this company again when returning to India.

Its hard to know where to start with such a fantastic holiday! Mr Narendra runs a very professional and trustworthy business, during the period before the holiday he worked very hard to organise and tailor our trip to include the Golden Triangle, Kerala, flights and trips that we particularly wanted, cant fault his service and effort at all, and the whole time he put our minds at ease with updates and booking confirmations etc (as has been previously mentioned, with a relatively small and new business, there can sometimes be that niggling feeling!).
When we arrived in Delhi, we were met at the airport with a lovely spacious airconed tour bus, and we had a amazing driver for our 9 days in North India, called Ajay, who looked after us, saved us, educated us, kept us refreshed, and kept the bus immaculately clean, we couldnt of asked more from him!
The hotels we stayed on during the Northern tour, considering the surroundings, were generally lovely, the hotel in Agra was stunning.
The country and what we were shown, from the poverty to the lavishly luxurious, was just simply breath taking, every moment was mesmerizing, the people we saw are so friendly, fun and unbelievably enterprising for their situation, although obviously they need to be to survive.
We had a hot air balloon ride over Jaipur at sunrise, absolutely beautiful! And the locals, where-ever you land, give you the VIP celeb treatment!
The only option to get up to the Amber fort has to be the bumbling elephant ride, great fun, and at the top you get a lot of photos to choose from!
Mr Narendra met up with us in Jaipur, a very nice and friendly man, and he even paid for us all to have a complimentary meal in Agra!
There are obviously going to be a lot of people trying to sell you things, its how they make a living, but they are easy enough to manage, and you can get some absolute bargains!
Delhi, a city that I really don't think ever sleeps, was superbly interesting with incredibly peaceful and beautiful parkland, tombs, and monuments hidden in amongst the chaos of everyday Delhi madness ( you have to have a TukTuk ride, super cheap and super exhillerating!).
If you like cows, you love India, there are cows everywhere! Along with goats, camels, and many other useful animals.
Obviously, the Taj Mahal is high on the to see list. Our Agra tour guide Raj was brilliant, extremely bright, funny, and informative. (and knew how to make a rupee, or a thousand, to help pay for his chemistry degree!) He showed us all sorts of interesting places, his English was excellent, he helped us skip cues, and knew where and how to get the best deals from the locals! The Taj at sunrise is just spectacular, and I think it would be worth a trip to India to see this alone.
I think it might be worth mentioning there are a few early mornings, and long drives between cities, but every moment is full of interesting Indian life, and it was great to sit and watch the world going by, we hardly noticed the time go by on the journeys.
We had a day detour on the way back to Delhi, and spent a night in a village called Mandawa. This was on a old trading route old rich merchants used hundreds of years ago, and the hotel we stayed in was one of their old mansions, and I must say, it was very exotic marigold hotel! But was one of the highlights of the holiday. We had a local take us around the village to show us the fantastic buildings and art work, local shops and traders, and his families business. The village felt a very authentic look at Indian life. As a side note, the hotel was owned and run by locals, so wasn't the cleanest of places, but more than made up for it with its quirky splendor!
The second part of the holiday was spent down in Kerala.
The trip down here was also very well organised, although we did miss Ajay!
This part of India was truly lush and beautiful, I have never seen so many palm trees and so large! They make their own drink from the sap of the palm trees, which was very tasty.
We stayed on a river boat one night, this itself was a lovely trip. There were 7 of us on the trip, we had a massive double decker boat with 4 crew to cook and look after us. The food was exceptional, the trip very relaxing.
Our final hotel we stayed in was a Heritage resort on the edge of the jungle by the beach, and this place was another highlight. It was so nice we are thinking of booking a holiday here again one day. The staff were lovely, the rooms spotless, and the food was delicious and cheap. The local shops were all great also, we picked up a few bargains in these to! And if you have the time and energy there are plenty of day trips and activities to do.
It was all in all a faultlessly organised holiday from Colourful Indian Holidays, I cant recommend using them enough, you'll be in safe hands taken on the trip of a lifetime!

First you have to decide if India is the place to go, the world will switch into a different one once you are aout of your plane. Incredible people, beautifull places, high tempartures and a shocking different world that is waiting for you.
Once you have decided to visit India, the rest is easy, just let CIH guide you, since the beginning until the end the professional actitude will make your experience outstanding.
We wehre in the North of India for 16 days, a fantastic driver, most of the guides (I would say almost all of them) profesional, well informed and willing to open your eyes in thsi fantastic experience.
Narendra and his tema helped to select teh trip, the cities, the structure, the hotels, the activities all you need to have a pleasant and memorable trip.
Once all decided the experience during the holidays was fantastic, help ready when needed, flexible if needed and all as expected.
We decided to change our trains into planes during the trip and there was no issue, just organize the change and finish.
As said, once you decide your destination is Inida, don't look further, contact CIH and let them guide you in this once life experience.
Thanks Narendra for all, it was a pleasure to have the chance to share some time together in Jaipur, I hope we can repeat in another area in a couple of years.
(just a short advice, summer in north India is not as in Europe in july/august, it is in may and it can be very very very warm).

Thank Pedro A
