Having spent a long day walking the old city of Jaipur we made a quick stop at the Bake Hut, found on the back of the Suyra Mahal restaurant for a dessert. This was a decent bakery that might be worth making a stop for if you want some western style cakes or bread.
We tried the Black Forrest and Death by Chocolate, spending 110 rupee (US$2.07) and enjoyed both. These were not spectacular but good enough, after having eaten nothing but Indian sweets and desserts for some time. It was nice having something more familiar to the body for a change.
In the end we were generally happy with the cakes we found at Bake Hut (rating 3 of 5) and impressed by the selection of breads and other cakes they had at the time of our visit. If we had lived in Jaipur, I'm sure we would probably have stopped here from time to time.
