This water palace is an ideal place for tourists to Jaipur to pass sometime in solitude. The fishes in the lake surrounding the water palace are plenty . People love to feed and talk to them. Please check the photos.

If you visit the Amber Fort you will likely pass the floating palace. We stopped and enjoyed the view from a distance as you can not access the palace located in the middle of the lake. The lake shore has numerous fish which can be fed using stale bread purchased for a few rupees at lakeside. What we enjoyed most was walking among the various food and souvenir vendors. Several street urchins approached us and wanted to demonstrate their magic skills. We picked a little girl to show us her magic and she gave a great show. While there we went across the street for our photo op with a camel. Overall a great stop on the tour.

Jaipur, otherwise is not a cold place and sight seeing is done in the day, could be tiring, particularly forts and outside spots. Jal Mahal( water palace) in the middle of water has many restrictions and as a tourist one really doesn't see the best of this beautiful palace standing in water but evenings are worth and least crowded.
The management ensures it is not messed up and controlling is visible.
On the way to Amber its well spread area of lake and recently improved by a pvt company holds a great future. Hotels are galore in the area and picturesque looks make this place a cool tourist spot.
