The Palace is a private property maintained by the erstwhile Royal Family. It was well maintained but it diminished its value knowing that it is now commercialized and used for wedding venue as well (We participated in the wedding held in the palace).

This very interesting site with museum exhibits gives a real insight to the lives of the Indian royalty. It was not overcrowded and few restrictions were placed on where one could or could not walk. A very relaxed and informative visit

I love this city fort , been here twice and second time was better than first. Lots of interesting thing to see here with mini museums within the fort. Some very interesting pictures and clothing worn by the maharajas. But as always get a tour guide to show you round

We toured the state of Rajasthan through Travel Tirangle. Travel triangle arranged the tour of Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaiselmer, Sam dunes, Jodhpur, Ranakpur, Udaipur Ajmer and Pushkar through Indian Detination, a local travel agent at Jaipur. We had a nice experience of touring Rajasthan through Travel Triangle. The Agent, Indian Destination was really good. The cab driver meant his business and very sober through out the journey. All the arrangements from hotels were really good. Only the hotel at Jaiselmer that is Himmathgarh Palace was not comparable to other hotels as the food was very orddinary. The stay at Lalgarh palace where they upgraded us to a Maharaja suiite was excellant and unforgetable. We recommend this travel agent for any customised tours. Their quote was also very reasonable and affordable. Finally it was worth the money.

City Palace,Jantar Mantar ,Hawa Mahal are located in the same area(Badi Choupad).
There is a separate ticket of Rs75/-, (40/- for students with valid id card).Additional Rs 50/- chargeable for Camera but its useless as still in most of the galleries Photography is prohibited even after buying the token.

it a total commercial area with The royal family(princess Diya kumari) residing in some part of it.there a palace school attached with the fort.

the main attractions are huge Armoury Gallery, two largest silver pot in world(The then king took Holy Ganges water to london to pay homage to the King there).
