“Beautiful Palace”
Reviewed May 18, 2014 via mobile

It's a beautiful palace. Take a audio guide for 140 Rs. It is totally worth it. Better than taking the guide for 200 Rs. This will allow you wonder around. All rooms and areas are open so it is nice to lost yourself. Beautiful stained glass. Amazing views of Jaipur and mountains around. The history of this building is fascinating too.

“Best from the Outside”
Reviewed May 17, 2014

Best viewed from across the street, the Hawa Mahal is a handy landmark in Jaipur and you will pass it multiple times during your stay in town. For those wishing to satisfy curiosity and see what lies behind the screen, you need to enter via Tulsi Marg and a couple of other backstreets. It costs 50Rs to enter, and looks ugly from the other side. There is not much to see once inside, apart from lots of shutters over tiny windows which are fun to peep through to the busy street below. There is a great view of the City Palace and Jantar Mantar from the fifth floor roof.

“A must see but doesn't take too long”
Reviewed May 16, 2014

Its the exterior which is the attraction here. The interior isn't that exciting. Strangely it is more impressive in photographs than in person. Would have been disappointed not to see it though.
