Owner description: Made of red and pink sandstone, Jaipur's signature palace of unusual architecture is a stunning example of local artistry. The top of the Hawa Mahal offers an excellent view over the city.

Right in the middle of the city, this palace was used by the rajput queens to enjoy the late afternoon or early evening breeze . The structure is grand and the design intricate. It gives an impression of royalty at its peak. Please che k ghe photos to believe. We just had a look from the outside.

Go especially in the early morning then the sun is perfect. The entry to the Hawa Mahal from the city palace side is through an imperial door.

Beautifully restored and an interesting story behind it. The place shows a relaxed atmosphere in this busy city.

Very impressive, though only worth a quick photo stop as you cannot enter the building, so its really only a facade.
Unfortunately its located on a very busy, packed road in old Jaipur

Not quite Angor Wat or Masa Picchu in the 1000 places to see in the world but none the less impressive. Sitting on a busy street in Old Jaipur it is a imposing site rising above you. The peddlers were sometimes annoying when you are trying to take in the shear presents of the site. A must while in Jaipur.
