Owner description: Made of red and pink sandstone, Jaipur's signature palace of unusual architecture is a stunning example of local artistry. The top of the Hawa Mahal offers an excellent view over the city.

The Hawa Mahal although does not have much to show, it still is the name to resemble to the Pink City. The work of art on the windows is a treat to the eyes.

The Palace of the Winds was a building that I wanted to see. I thought it was so beautiful. Symmetry and colour and purpose effortlessly combined. This is true of the Hawa Mahal, but I did not appreciate that it is pressed against the edge of a very busy city street with virtually no decent vantage point from which to appreciate its facade. There is a small fenced courtyard directly in front of it so you have to crane you neck up to see it, and if you wish to have a better view, you need to cross many lanes of traffic to the far side and from here your view will be partially obstructed by trees.

I'm not saying don't visit, as you will undoubtedly pass it in your car en route to virtually anything else in the city, so when you do, slow down, hop out, enjoy. I just wish there was a viewing platform across the street.

One of the places to see in Jaipur. You would experience continuous winds blowing through the tomb. Built like the other palaces in Jaipur, but is in the middle of the Market. This is where the Maharani [sometimes accompanied by the Maharajas enjoyed to view of the streets], in their era.

A grand looking edifice, which turns out to be a one-sided Hollywood style building. There are no rooms to visit, but if you go to the roof of a building on the opposite side of the street, you can get some really good pictures, especially morning and evening.

Take a photo with wide lens and filter during day light or may be in evening before sunset. Its in the crowded street and hence very less space to view it. May be while passing to - fro in the pink city.
