It is quite quite imposing from the road and good fun to go in and clamber about the little nooks and crannies. It also has some city views (including Jantar Mantar which is better preserved than the Delhi version). The surrounding street is also packed with touristy shops which are fun to browse - easy 1/2 day excursion and a must do really if you are in Jaipur.

While disappointed in the scaffolding, enjoyed the area shops and street vendors. Even the snake charmer made for excellent photo ops.

It is good only if you want to have nice memories of your Jaipur trip and you can get a good picture in front of Hawa Mahal. Otherwise it is just a kind of wall with multiple windows. But yes, the market in front Hawa Mahal is worth to try.

This impressive structure gives you the impression that it can fall over at any given time.
The 953 small windows are covered with a type of “lace” that allowed royal woman to observe the things that happened in the street below without being seen, veiled from public view.

Personally we were disappointed because all the pictures taken showed this isolated structure and to the contrary, we found it in a busy street. That was a bit of a disappointment.

Also they were busy with, I would say, with necessary maintenance and that spoiled the experience a little especially because we could not go in. Nonetheless a must see!
