“A much cleaner Hawa Mahal”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

I was surprised to see a much cleaner and better maintained Hawa Mahal during my visit in Aug-2012. I had visited earlier about 3 years back. This should now be added in all visitor's itinerary. The only negative is the location of the entrance, but nothing can be done about it.

“a must visit in jaipur”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

HawaMahal in Jaipur is a must visit and a historic experience. The introduction of "Audio Guide" (audio system fitted with 2 head gears and a pre recorded menu guide)has proved to be good choice for any one. It is well maintained (Except the pathway upstairs) and should be taking atleast 2+ hours to completely understand everything.
Overall an excellent historical place.

“Nice facade, but that's it”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

The facade of the Hawa Mahal is it's only claim to fame: the rest is, well, a bit boring. The best place to see the facade is on the busy street in front of it, or rather, from the roof of one of the shops/restaurants. Ask around and, upon paying a small fee, you will be able to snap some good shots. Don't pay to enter the place, as there is not much to see.

“Very interesting history”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

I was told people aren't allowed inside the Hawa Mahal anymore, but apparently from others' posts, you are. I didn't go in, but I wish I would have. From the outside it is extremely impressive, so I can't imagine what the experience would be from the inside looking out. The history of the structure is very fascinating.
