it was mid of december, me along with my three other friends were on the way to nahargarh .as we were returning from amber fort ,we decided to go to nahargarh fort .it was sort of hiking for us and we decided to go on foot rather taking an auto from kanak ghati and the weather of december supported us to do so. the view was awsome during our ten km ascend to the fort . we reached there in evening around five o'clock. it was about to sunset and the view of sunset with the whole jaipur city beneath our eyes mesmerised us..the cool breeze there made us feel to be in heaven . the most interesting thing happened when we decided to return. as all of us were so tired and were not in a position to go back by road on foot ,(ofcourse auto was not available) so we directly descended taking the way through the hill . The distance was supposed to be covered in 1 hour just covered by us i only five minutes. overall it was awsome and memorable for all of us..

Like Jaigarh fort, this one as above and further ahead of Amber Fort high on the Aravali hills. The climb and scenic view of Jaipur when driving uphill is amazing. So is the view from the fort ramparts when you walk around the main structure. The place is restored and was a housing or quarters for the many ladies from or attached to the royal family.Kind of a getaway from the Amber fort for the King!Go in the evening so you can enjoy Jaipur twinkling in the dark on your way back.

This view could not be beat it was breathtaking. We got some amazing pics here. The fort itself was very beautiful although very run down in places and much needs some restoration. There was a lot of garbage also underneath the eating area and the place looked generally unkept.

If you are going to Amer Fort visit in Jaipur then do not forget to ask your driver to take you to Nahargarh Fort which is just after Amer Fort and usually drivers avoid to take you there. But after reaching to Nahargarh Fort you will be definitely going to surprise after seeing the Biggest Cannon of the World. Yes, it is in Jaipur and you can't afford to leave it.

Also known as the Tiger Fort, it is the closest to the Pink City and hence gives excellent views from the palace windows. Enroute the fort feast your eyes with spectacular views of Jaipur city and the Jal Mahal far below on the Maota lake. Keep the visit at the end of the day, to watch magnificent sunset over the Jaipur city from the fort. The fort also hosts a step well which is closed for tourists but one can peep in and take in the view. The palace has nine identical wings with exquisite designs inside; but they are in dire need of maintenance.
