I like astronomy but overall that was the same thing everywhere but with different sizes. It is very interesting to understand how people do calculate the time with accuracy. That was the part I like. For the rest once you understand one, well the rest is the same. So not as much interesting as it appears in the tripadvisor list order.

A huge astronomical observatory - used hundreds yest ago for calculation of the sun and stars position. You can also find there most likely the largest solar clock. Guide recommended.

jantar mantar was not as exciting as the other places in India that we had visited but it was interesting enough if you listen to your guide really well. What made this visit a bit exciting was the snake charmer outside . The snake seemed a bit lethargic at first and was barely making it out of the basket...after some boos from the tourists the charmer decided to shake things up a bit by inviting a tourist to sit beside him...My aunt was the lucky pick...however from a lethargic snake it became a pooping snake...despite snake poop on her shoulder my aunt enjoyed the show and so did everyone else.... lesson learned just watch the show no need to sit beside the charmer and have the snake draped on your shoulder...

Impressed that these ancient structures are still valid today. I wonder how the builders were able to achieve such accuracy

Excelent for astronomy lovers and zodiac believers. The 16 instruments built in 1750 period using stone are very accurate and used even today. My guide told me that today the forcast of how hot the summer moths will be is done by these instruments and not by statistical methods.
