A wonderful family run hotel. Great for an intimate stay where you will enjoy interacting with the Owners and Staff. Here is a list of my pro's and con's:

Pro's:
-- Owners are very involved with operations and they care. Friendly and interactive.
-- Rooms are good sized.
-- Hotel provides a nice peaceful feeling
-- Tips are settled at the end with no pressure to give any.

Con's:
-- A bit far from the tourist attractions and Jaipur traffic can be a bit of an experience.
-- Limited options for the breakfast and dinner buffets.
-- Mosquitos and flies during breakfast and dinner can be very annoying - they haven't fully figured this out
-- Swimming pool water was really cold

Overall, a very pleasant stay. We ended up extending our stay by 3 days with no regrets.

Room Tip: Mattresses can be flipped to provide either a "soft" experience or a "firm" expe...

Stayed at jas vilas in Jaipur for three nights recently and loved it. Not five star probably three, but very comfortable. Had a large bedroom witn king size bed, large clean bathroom. Wi.fi and t.v with cable. The best thing about this hotel was the lovely friendly atmosphere. It is a family run hotel and the the family are hands on. The rest of the staff are fantastic, made us feel very at home. Tula our waiter was terrific looked after us like kings and had a great sense of humor. It was a tranquil oasis in the middle of a chaotic city. For the price could not do better.

We arrived in Jaipur in the morning on Holi and we jumped in our station transfer to go straight to the hotel, organised by Jas Vilas. The hotel was in full swing of Holi celebrations - the staff had colourful pigment on their faces and clothes, there was a small group of musicians playing traditional Indian tunes and dancers in the garden, and the guests were invited to celebrate too. It was a great atmosphere and we immediately felt very welcome.

The courtyard with the swimming pool, garden and outdoor seating was beautiful and a welcome oasis from the Rajasthani heat! You can see that a lot of thought and care has gone into the courtyard; the magenta and orange flowers cascading over the balconies were stunning. The owners of the hotel were very approachable and helpful, the lady was the most gracious of hostesses and often interacted with the guests. The staff were also attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and exciting, a buffet of fantastic delights.

The room itself was comfortable and large, the bathroom was almost as big as the room itself! It's an intimate hotel due to the small number of rooms but in no way overbearing. The hotel is a little bit out of the way from the main city, near Bani Park, but it was not particularly problematic as there were taxis/autos regularly stopping along the main road. Being away from the craziness of the city was also a breath of fresh air and a bit of a relief (for those of you who have gone to India at Holi, you'll know what I mean!). Thank you Jas Vilas for a memorable stay and your hospitality!

Loved this place, really beautiful touches of Indian design everywhere. The rooms feel like little Indian palaces. Only wished I could have stayed longer, but they were booked out, now I know why. Food was lovely, and served poolside. I

My mum and I stayed here when she came to visit me in India. She had chosen the hotel but I couldn't have been more thrilled. The staff were friendly and helpful, the owners were conversational but also respectfully conscious that mum and I hadn't seen each other for 6months. The pool was a god send in the Rajasthani heat if April! And I would definitely return to stay here. The rooms were well laid out, there was a nice bath, old regal taps and fixtures and lots of nice touches that made the stay feel unique to any other hotel. Recommend!

My third visit to Jas Vilas and what a good decision to skip Delhi and fly straight to Jaipur after the flight from London deposited us at Indira Gandhi at some ungodly hour in the morning. Last visit was about 5 years ago so delighted to see its still in great shape - with some nice decorative additions to the paintwork. The rooms are not luxurious (but perfectly fine, impeccably clean and comfortable beds) but what makes it work is the atmosphere of supreme relaxation and the solicitousness of the owners and the staff. We promptly fell asleep on our balcony only to wake up in time for gin and tonic and a tasty dinner. A real haven that allows you to ease into India gradually, It'll always be my preferred destination to start a trip.

Room Tip: We (three of us traveling together) took a room on the second floor because it had a table and chair...

An efficiently run hotel with the owner on vigil most of the time seeing that everything ran smoothly. The bedrooms were airy and comfortable but our one on the top floor looked a little tired. It was quite a run into the heart of the city by tut-tut but nice to return to a tranquil setting at the end of the day. A decent restaurant and good breakfast.
