Is it possible to fault the Jas Vilas? Difficult, but I'll have a go.
1. They need to oil some of their doors, which can be noisy as a result.
2. They could provide some more comfortable seating for lounging around the pool, in addition to the (reasonably comfortable) chairs for eating.
3. There is a small amount of traffic noise in some of the rooms, but it's unlikely to stop you from sleeping.
3. Err, that's it.
Don't expect a huge menu, but the food they do provide is excellent. If you don't see what you want on the menu, ask - they might have it anyway, eg porridge for breakfast, other Indian curries in the evening.
By the way, in case you are wondering, the pool is a bit cold, even at the end of February - it doesn't get a lot of sun. We swam, but nobody else did while we were there. Should be better in March.
Location? Not that central, as someone has pointed out - but a tuk-tuk only costs 50-100Rs into town. Stay more centrally and I doubt you would get the garden and the pool.
The main thing is, the staff can't do enough to help you. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay, Jas Vilas!More
