“Kids will love it!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

Just what I expected. - Indian hospitality and amazing service. Evenings are beautiful with the kids - carousals, magic shows, dance, elephant/camel rides, rajasthani village ambience, fortune tellers...enjoyable! Definitely recommended for all of that..a good family time..
Also the Rajasthani dinner and Indian restaurant has really good food...
We also used the spa and thats a welcome break to relax! so good to have that as a break

On the negatives though, its more a 4 star than a 5 star.
- The breakfast buffet is average at best. really need to bring the standard up on that
- The rooms are not well maintained...our safe wasnt working, fixtures worn out, Bathroom had issues....to their credit, service was good and they repaired . But wouldnt expect it to be broken in first instance.
- While the evening is great, would be good to have more to do in the days for kids..gets very quiet.

Stay at Chokhi Dhani was not so pleasant. It was overly priced for services offered. Also cleanliness was a problem, the facility needs an upgrade. Evening show at the adjoining garden is good, camel ride and henna, though if you are going to pushkar, then it is not required. And henna can be done anywhere in the old city. So think before you invest in it.

my favorite holiday spot n weekend. seems a home everytime i m with my family. village though with each year charges more & more but cant beat the experience. some issues were there but were sorted. new recreation room near pool was great. they should not install a heated pool plus a bigger dining area in village part as it gets overcrowded on weekends. special thanks to mr ajmera in meeting & sorting the missed details , was very helpful & head chef to take care of our dietary requirements.c u guys soon...

Room Tip: choose a room in c block as it is away from central rush area of resort. haveli's are excellant.

With some much aping of the western hospitality by the chains we have long forgotten the real Indian hospitality, the welcome, the decor, the walk, the room decor, the food and the best of all the experience everything just enthuses. The best of all is the village fair which just reminds us of the 70's melas at the outskirts of the village, which is so affordable (but since the ticket price is low, you tend to overspend and realise it only when you are out of cash). Food is just outstanding and trickles your indian taste buds, beware of the spices though. Overall a lovely getaway....just a tip....leave your phone and laptop behind cause there is so much else to do for a weekend.

We just decided to take a weekend out and celebrate my Birthday at Chokhi Dhani Resort and Village. We booked a cottage at the resort online. The first outside look of the resort when we reached there was very disappointing because of all the construction going along the road side infront of the resort. But thankfully when we entered the resort, the ambiance of the place was beautiful. We loved our cute little cottage a lot, it had beautiful beddings and furnishings. We spent our evening in the village which was slightly below average. Rajasthani style thali served for dinner was good, its not about the food but the way they serve you counts. Negative thing there was the huge que and yes the place was over crowded. The village definitely need to manage that properly. Late evening and night at the resort was very calm and nice. Over all it is a good one time visit.

If you're looking for a great experience of the Rajasthan Village lifestyle, this place is a must visit..

There is a 450 Rupee entry fee which includes a complimentary dinner..

The Place is beautifully designed and there is a lot of entertainment, Elephant Rides, A carousel, a magic show, village acrobatics and lots of cool snacks...All in all a wonderful experience...

The only down side was the dinner which had a perennial 45 minute waiting and was sub standard compared to the food options outside...
