Chokhi Dhani Resort

I have been here about 10 times in my 25 years of living, Everytime some one from Canada came we went there.. Those were good day and ever since (about 2 years) the Original management sold it off to some MNC type company the prices have gone up...the quality of food and rooms have gone severly down.. i seriously suggest people not to book this hotel, the things wrong with this place is the biggest irony of a Village heritage resort.. Mis-managed and over expensive. under stocked in every area... The food used to be great but it is better to eat at Suruchi in delhi rather than go to Rajasthan /jaipur to have good food...those days are gone.. Avoid being here.

We visited Chokhi Dhani while on a 3N/2D trip to Jaipur city. I must say, compared to my previous trip 4 years ago, I found the place horribly mismanaged for its so-called 5-star status. The parking attendants and security staff were extremely careless and ignorant. Poor to no lights whatsoever in their parking area outside Chokhi Dhani village. As a result, our vehicle landed in deep muddy patch and instead of enjoying our visit, we spent over two hours running post to pillar for help and that to no avail. We had to pay two people to help us get the vehicle out finally, with all of us covered in mud and two of their security personnel standing close by cracking jokes, taking pleasure in our plight rather than helping us.

Poor service, no help when needed...is this really an example of tourism and hospitality that deserves promotion and mention!!??

That done and nothing else left to enjoy in the evening, when we proceeded to have food, we met our second disappointment in so called world-class ethnic village. The tables being wiped with unclean cloth, unkempt environment infested with mosquitoes and terrible hygiene...PHEW! So much for the last trip to this place.

A place where everything ethnic about Rajasthan can be experienced within the confines of a spread out farm house. A nice spend for more than a couple of hours. Bright colors that the state stands for is well reflected in each of the themed activities and food at the restaurant that is served just like the way folks eat in the villages. A welcome change from the palaces of Udaipur and the royalty attached to star hotels there.

I took a 2 nights / 3 days package at Choki Dhani form 29-06-12 to 1-07-2012.
We travelled from Gurgaon to Jaipur , reached there and on reaching there at 5.00 pm the rooms were not ready. But the rooms were good , having traditional look.
Choki Dhani Village was very average. Service Very Poor. The stalls did not even have appropriate change and very poor Service.
Dinner at the Restaurant was good.
Breakfast too was good but with we had to wait for 15 mins.
Dinner at the Chokhi Dhani Village was very poor quality and not tasty at all. Please avoid.
There was a huge queque and we were not informed by the Resort people about this.

this has been a must visit place on every trip to Jaipur..and I have been a witness to its loosing out as a tourist destination. I remember on my first visit to this place in 2001, the food, their variety was just too good....but now things have sobered down. The variety in their food menu has gone down and so has their quality. But more than that, on my recent visit I realised that it is very very crowded(maybe the crowd id enormous on a Saturday evening and is better on a weekday), which I feel has a direct impact on the hygiene maintained, which is very important.

Apart from the Rajasthani food which is a big pull, atleast for me, the overall ambiance of the place giving it a village flavor is good...there are small fun things to do such as a palmist reading yr hand, an astrologer with a parrot, fun rides, mehendi, dances, music, elephant rides, wrestling etc etc....

Beautiful, colorful, Extravagant! Fun... Here you will have all Mini Rajasthan! its a small village created , and here you will find all Rajasthani activities at low rates but you are paying 500 rs per person at the entry already which includes your one time meal , and entry to the village.
Do not shop here, go to Bapu bazar for that , and the catch is, check the price you wanna buy here and just divide it by two and bargain for that price for same thing in Bapu bazar ! :P
The food is awesome, and the way they made you have the food is typical Indian style . What I loved was the hospitality............

Room Tip: reach around 4 PM at the opening time of Chokhi Dhani if you wanna enjoy it to the fullest and have...

Over priced..but still value for money, resort is quiet popular destination in Jaipur. Overall what I liked was food, courteous staff, well maintained. There remains huge crowd on holidays , so to overcome this & making use of it, Resort has high tariff & entry ticket rates.
