Hotel Meghniwas is in a great location with plenty of amenities and the warm welcoming staff is great. The hotel rooms are spacious. The restaurant is a little pricey but the food is good. There is a nice library with two computers and interent access. The pool was not heated in January but the ambiance overall is lovely. Both Indu and the Colonel are very hospitable, we certainly felt like we were guests in a home.

Meghniwas was a gem of a find ..thanks to tripadvisor which my wife and i consider as a touchstone before any trip.

Very tastefully decorated yet homely and quiet in the middle of a busy city. Spot on right for our family which was a mixed bag of 50+ adults who needed the peaceful settings, the kids who loved the cats and the inhouse dog and us in our 30s who needed a accomodating staff who'd help us with a room cluster (Room # 101-104), changing travel dates and room service even when their kitchen is closed. Much appreciated was the complimentary upgrade to keep our family together.

Dinner and breakfast was a tad slow but tasteful and a friendly staff. Wireless internet was a blessing..with the access points being just outside our rooms. a ATM outside the hotel gates made it very convenient too.

The entire family enjoyed the stay.

Located somehow far from the noisy downtown of Jaipur, this quiet hotel benefits of a relaxing garden - a perfect place for dinner. We spent there the new year eve 2009.
Spacious and tidy rooms, helpful staff, intermittent internet access.
The food is quite good: we enjoyed two remarkable dinners.

Meghniwas is definitely a good option for stay in Jaipur - it's tidy, conveniently located, 24hrs nice welcoming reception staff available, not expensive and having beautiful indian interiors.

Almost no complaints here from us apart from 2 shortcomings - that breakfast is almost non-edible and hot water is - to put it here mildly - not even warm so if you're not an aficionado of ice-hole bathing you'd experience some trouble in the bathroom.

If I ever come to Jaipur again I'd pay some extra money and stay in some int'l chain hotel there for sure.

This time I was visiting along with my family and another family - and as usual we had a wonderful time here. The minute you step into this hotel you feel you are in a different world within Jaipur. It is the most efficient yet homely place I have stayed in. Previously I have stayed here several times on business and as this time, the service has been wonderful. Mrs Singh, the owner, does an excellent job of keeping the property updated with improvements and I will surely keep returning here.

The best parts I like are the garden in the front and the back, the serenity, the pool (in the summer), the excellent food, the large rooms (I would recommend staying in a suite if available) and the courteous staff.
