“Thin walls- stay away!!”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

I stayed at this hotel during New Year's Eve and the music from the neighbors was obnoxiously loud. I called the front desk to complain they said they can't do anything about it and I had to just basically deal with it. they also mentioned the music will run probably 1am+. I mean they didn't even offer a discount of some sort. Seriously the music was on blast and I felt like I was in that party. The night before I heard a baby crying throughout the night. I'm really not sure why this hotel has such good reviews but its bs. The walls are so thin. Just stay away. You can find better elsewhere.

I would like to point out that the music that was playing was in our neighbourhood and not in the Hotel premises. It was new years Eve and I cannot control what is outside our Hotel. As soon as the guest complained I rang her apologised & explained the situation offering a 10 % discount
In the morning when she came to pay the bill she said the discount was too little. I said I would give her a20% discount.but explained that it was not our fault as we were not to blame for the music in the neighbourhood. Thanks Mrs Indu Singh

This hotel could be so much better if only the service and the management were reliable. As a group we were there on Divali day and checked in dirty rooms, with the promise that they will all be cleaned very soon. Which never happened ! No staff was available for nothing and even our tour leader was powerless to have anything happen. The owner was around but arrogant and unpleasant. The place is actually quite nice and the rooms are big. That is just about it.

The Colonel and his wife have really made the perfect cozy enclave here in Jaipur. Everything was perfect, the personal service, the size and comfort of all the rooms, the unbeatable wifi, the food, the pool, the grounds, the quiet. I couldn't have asked for more.

Traveling with two other guys on a motorcycle trek around India, we stopped here and doubled up on a room for 3 nights. The room was comfortable, well appointed, and the common areas were very comfortable, and made even more delightful by the colonel and his wife and staff.

A great stay.

Room Tip: get a pool view room if you can.

We have just returned from a 9 day textile holiday in Jaipur India staying at the Megh Niwas hotel which we all loved. As a group of 28 keen stitchers, we were keen to explore the textile industry first hand and Jaipur is a wonderful base for such a holiday. The Megh Niwas hotel was loved and enjoyed by all the group for a variety of reasons - the owner's hospitality, the outstanding friendly service, the great food and all the wonderful unique bedrooms. Would not wish to stay any where else.

Room Tip: all the rooms are stunning with ethnic style furniture and bedding.

This family run traditional Indian hotel is the perfect place to relax after a hectic day in chaotic Jaipur. Mostly in marble, the rooms are beautifully decorated and surrounded by perfectly maintained gardens and even has a large swimming pool and terrace. Mr and Mrs Singh are very gracious hosts and have thought of every comfort. I stayed for a week as part of a group of 28 and nothing was too much trouble for Mr and Mrs Singh and their cheerful staff. The food each morning and evening was plentiful and delicious. I would recommend this immaculate hotel and I am hoping to return one day.

Back again to my Indian home from home - wonderful to see Mrs Singh and her husband the Colonel again. Plus the fabulous Pritti and Trillo still serving meals with lovely smiles! Even better a new pup - Benji! Another wonderful improvement were the new mattresses for the sun recliners! Very relaxing and comfortable as always! Thank you also to Kushbo in the office who is always so ready to help with anything!

Room Tip: Either facing the pool or the lovely front gardens!

A great place to escape from the bustle of the streets with good rooms, excellent food and a quiet garden around the pool where you can relax. Mr & Mrs Singh run the place with an astonishing eye for detail and you can almost see the staff stiffen to attention when they are in the vicinity! Everything is immaculate.

I do agree with some of the other comments that the reception staff are a little cold but that was more than compensated for by the dining room staff and the variety of food available.
