Beautiful grounds and flowers, marble halls, traditional Indian paintings and a candlelit dining room all contributed to a wonderfully peaceful stay. Lots of character. Cozy outdoor seating areas and a rooftop patio encouraged relaxation. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. There were some western menu options to keep our kids happy. The pool was pretty and cleaned daily. You'd need a taxi or auto rickshaw to get to most attractions but the hotel was so nice we didn't want to go out much!

The hotel experience was out of the world. I flew in Jaipur without any booking canceling South India tour due to Neelam Cyclone. Called up Hotel Rambaug Palace - (a five star haveli hotel) for booking where I had stayed last time. Didn't get one. Came with little hesitation here. But this was an equally great experience. The personal touch, loving people, homely feel can not be received anywhere else. The warmth, spotless clean environment was a unique experience. My kids were extremely happy to eat here as they were pampered like Dadi ka ghar. I will recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Jaipur - Nitin Arwade CEO Arwade Infrastructure Limited.

My boyfriend and I stayed here during our 2 day visit to Jaipur, we recieved a pleasant welcome by the owner and were shown to our rooms quickly. We booked online while on the delhi stage of our 2 week trip to India and were delighted with our room, which was large spacious, airy and spotless. This inlcudes the bathroom.

The food in the restaurant was top notch and the pool was clean and well maintained, as was the whole property. And indeed the pool was extremely inviting in the mid afternoon desert heat.

There was a very personal touch from the owners and they made it their business to make sure our stay was comfortable, inlcuding when my boyfriend wasn't very well. The owners made sure he was comforatbale and well hydrated with lovely lemon water.

Aside from the above, the property is stunning and we would recommend this boutique hotel over the 4 and 5 * choices as the standard is better with the addition of a personal touch.

Indu and her staff provided a very high level of service and attention to detail so as to ensure that everyone was made to feel most welcome. All meals provided were a joy to look forward to, whether it was the breakfast buffet, a fresh ginger and lemon tea, whilst reading the paper in the beautiful garden, sat beside the pool, or an evening al a carte meal. The bed rooms were relaxing, the showers hot and and cleansing and all attractions of Jaipur were but a short journey away in what seemed another world.

Meghniwas is a true gem in the jungle of private hotels in Jaipur. Stylish, yet unassuming, it offers true comfort and peace in a chaotic city of Jaipur. We spent a long weekend at Meghniwas in August with our two young children and were delighted with our experience: a beautiful old (but extremely well kept) house with a front lawn and a wonderful little pool, stylish and spacious rooms and a simple but delicious food, most of which is organically grown in their roof-top garden-terrace. Wonderful Mr. and Mrs. Singh (owners), as well as helpful and discreet staff, made us feel relaxed. In addition to the off-season discount, at the end of our stay we were surprised with an additional reduction we received, as a token of generosity and good will by the owners. It is a stylish, yet relaxed and child-friendly place, and we will certainly, certainly visit Meghniwas again.

At first we did not realize that it was a hotel- we thought it is a private bungalow. we went there once we could not find space at the adjacent Jas Villas. Megh Niwas (written Meghniwas) is a very nice place with a sprawling green lawn and a nice swimming pool and Cafeteria. Probably, as it was off season we got a nice discount there. If you can find a room on the ground floor front side facing the lawn it is a great value of money you spend. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean and well maintained. Food is average. I do not find the Indian food very good. You must try the lemon they serve with lunch. It has a very different and strong aroma.

We had a team of 12 students and 3 staff, we stayed at meghniwas for 4 nights for our final R&R phase of a 6 week expedition before we went back to the UK. Mrs Singh the owner is a kind and welcoming lady, who goes out of her way to help you make the most of your stay. If I came back to Jaipur again this is where I would stay without a second though, I cannot recommend it enough.
