This hotel gave us a suite as an IHG Platinum Ambassador, which was appreciated. The room was nice and spacious and provided a refuge from the storm of traffic, dust and touts that is Jaipur. But overall, we weren't impressed by this place, and would not recommend it to anyone.

There were a few problems. The water was not alway hot. In the mornings you got a nice hot bath but it was often lukewarm by the evenings. At a holiday in this category, this is just not good enough. The cable TV was a just dreadful too. There were only 2 or 3 English-language stations, with the rest being Indian fare. Not CNN or BBC? No music TV at all. I couldn't even catch up on some international news!

Also, the hotel is quite penny-pinching in many ways, and it was this which annoyed it most. We were traveling with an Indonesian friend and asked how much for an extra bed. The amount quoted was 7500 rupees. This was just a ludicrous price as we could have got a whole room for 2000 rupees less than this!

Also the breakfast showed a lot of economizing going on. The Western options were not plentiful and they were very slow refilling trays when things were empty. Then when we left, they chased us around screaming that we hadn't paid yet and had to sign. This mix-up was finally solved but they need some tips in how to handle issues in a respectful manner. Some of the people on the front desk also need some customer service training.

We appreciate your valuable feedback regarding your stay with us from 3rd to 6th Feb’14. Thank you very much for appreciation for the room up gradation to suite room.
We have noted your feedback with regards to TV Channels and hot water and necessary remedial measures/ possibilities are being looked into.

You were booked in a double occupancy room through our brand website. When asked about the third person accompanying you by our front desk you had informed that the third person shall be leaving in evening. You also inquired about the extra person cost and the rate quoted by our front desk was Rs 1000 + tax which is the same as mentioned on our brand website. When the third person was spotted in evening in lobby and you were contacted by our duty manger you told him you are going to book another room and later the same was provided as per your booking requirements.

As per your booking the breakfast for 6th Feb’14 was included in package but you had breakfast on 5th feb therefore bill was raised and when our restaurant team approached you for signature on bill as per policy you informed that you have taken breakfast on 5th instead of 6th feb and we simply adhered to your request.

We do hope you will treat this as an isolated incident and not a usual practice of the Hotel and give us another opportunity to serve you better.

This is a hotel with great value for money. Clean, comfortable and very pleasing staff. I stayed through a crisis when the water pipe had burst and it was Diwali in Jaipur. To their credit they got it up and running in no time and kept us in good humour as well. Great crisis management. The food was also very good and given the fact that it was Diwali, they did add to the festivities. Holiday Inn's are Holiday Inn's and that cookie cutter feeling is there, but worth every penny.

Hi , my stay with Holiday Inn was really great. My family has enjoyed stay they get what ever they have requested during the stay. Kids loves the table tennis. Food was really tasty and could find variety of dishes . Room decor and size was upto our expectation.

i stayed with my family for a long weekend we all had a good experience very ideal location for tourist travelling to Jaipur . hotel is located closely to all major sight seeing attraction . the services of the hotel was at its best specially the restaurant staff were very helpful and ready to carter all over special request. food was just cooked to our pallet. we enjoyed all our meals in all their restaurants. a special thank you to Mr dhabai and chef roshan.
would recommend more activities for kids.
rest all was wonderful. will recommend to all my family and friends.

Room Tip: ask for aravalli hill view rooms

I stayed here for 1 night in a Deluxe Suite which hotel staff say is a best room available in the hotel. I was surprized to find that the pillow cover was torn, bed linen had a blood stain and there is no shower and tap in shower cubicle. However, one can bathe in tub which was fully equipped but I fail to understand the reason for keeping shower cubicle totally non-functional. I have also attached photos with this review. I cannot expect this from Holiday Inn brand. Breakfast was good and had many varieties for Indian vegetarian.

the hotel has a great location, the check-in process was smooth and the receptionists were nice and helpful. Rooms were good in size, but my ONLY COMMENT is the BED SHEETs which was dusty and has hair and yellow spots. Well, we called the housekeeping to change them and they did, but still even the new ones had the same dust. Meals which we ordered to our rooms and Breakfast buffet were great. DON'T MISS the PUPET SHOW, it's FUNNY and you will ENJOY it :)

the american call centre gets your name wrong despite spelling it twice, give us twin beds when have specifically specified NO TWIN Beds, problem resolved another room given, the lights dont work in the room, the white linen is badly stained, the pillow covers have been washed to the point of holes and the hems have given way-- The toiletries have a date stamp of march 2012 thats almost 2 years old - and they are half filled and three fourth filled, subsequently replaced with a date stamp of March 2013 the towels have reached the point where they have been bleached to the point of being permanent grey. even towels at home are thrown away before they reach this point matter of fact I have never seen such Bald Towels, Cost cutting is one thing and having a TV without channels to watch is unthinkable - no cartoons no movies except S Pix. one News channel. well there is nothing that anyone can do about it because they dont have a cable TV connection. Amazing and its called HOLIDAY INN
after half an hour of persuasion the duty manager arrives to politely accepts the problems brought to notice and accepts that their audit would be unsatisfactory with the state of linen. arranges for change of room. Upgraded to a Suite which really serves no purpose with the same set of problems with the addition of cigarette smoke smell.
we request to speak to the Mr Tayal the GM of the hotel - unfortunately and fortunately for all of us the front desk decides what deserves the attention of the GM of the Hotel.
In all fairness to the Duty Manager Rakesh did his best to retain the business by offering a free dinner and free wifi and upgrade to a suit -- but we decided to take our chances at 8.30pm of finding another hotel room with our 70 years plus parents and 6 years old son. @ rs 4000/- Plus Taxes per night you can a get a hotel room anywhere in Jaipur - In my wife's words god knows what the hygiene standards of the kitchen would be like.. she was not taking any chances.
Mr Tayal called up the next day and apologized and explained how HOLIDAY INN was a transparent organisation and nothing is swept under the carpet and the feedback form had reached him and invited us over to stay with them the next time we were in the city - what ever he mean by that !

Bottom line : Holiday Inns name not at stake anymore -- India's population is enough to keep the rooms occupied and the foreigner who comes to India - pre booked will endure and suffer rather than struggle to find another hotel room. after all how much can you complain.
