I had an wonderful stay in Jaipur in Hotel Jai Mahal palace managed by Taj group. The service standard is world class and comparable to the best in the industry. It is not surprising that the hotel always has many foreign guests

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor are quieter and opens to a private lawn.

This is one of the best hotels I had chosen. This is a real palace converted to a hotel. I was in this hotel more than a week. I really enjoyed staying there. This is a beautiful palace. hotel staff explain us each and every detail about Jai Mahal Palace. The employees were very kind. I felt like it was my home. BF buffet was great. Service was superb. All the meals i ordered were delicious. Every morning I went to spa. There were well experienced masseuse. Rooms were spacious, very clean. There were A lot of happenings In every evening. I also dance with their dancing groups. All the guests were invited for dancing. Had fun. It is very easy to reach to all the visiting places from that hotel. There is a good Thrishow driver in front of this hotel. His name is Ali. He is a trustworthy person. He recommends all the places for us to visit. He can speak English.
When I left this hotel, employees were very sad. They gave me a snack packet for me to eat on the way. They were very kind.

The hotel is huge with well appointed rooms. One almost needs a golf buggy to get to the furthest rooms. Just as well for porters to take care of luggage. There are no lifts, so beautiful marble staircases are the go to get to an upper or lower level. We were there for several nights and the staff were really great and provided superb service. (One exception was one of the front desk/receptionist ladies who thought she was above providing service).

The restaurants were varied and all excellent - especially the main breakfast restaurant. The breakfast had a good choice of food and plenty of it. The ATM is outside the gates and when we ventured outside to use it, one of the security guards accompanied us to and from the hotel. Taxis and tuk tuks are available at the front gate or the front desk will call one for you. The hotel car is expensive by comparison.

The hotel has a pool, croquet court, large outdoor chess board. It also provides entertainment in the evenings when dining in the hotel forecourt.

While we were there, they had a grand wedding.in the grounds. It was a gala sight. There must have been about 1000 guests and the saris worn by the ladies covered every colour of the rainbow. They had bands with singers (I am not a fan of Indian singing), jugglers, tightrope walkers, a game of elephant polo with 5 elephants a side, camels for the kids as well as many other games to keep the kids (and some adults) amused. It was one of the most lavish displays we had seen in India. The Pink City and the Amber Palace will go on forever, but the wedding was something else to behold.

Definately worth staying here.

Room Tip: If possible, ask for a room close to reception if walking or stairs are a problem.

Awful front of house manager - impolite, unwilling to make our stay the slightest bit comfortable, horrible welcome, average rooms, average food, average property. Hotel drivers are out there to make a quick buck taking you to all the tourist shops - don't be fooled!

This is a sprawling hotel. Ask for a room near reception if walking is an issue. There is no need to choose a room with a sit-out because there is a large grassy area near the pool with chairs and tables. This hotel would be fun for children. There is a large unheated pool, croquet court, outdoor chess board and an area with slides and swings. This is a popular spot for over the top Indian weddings with elephants, horse drawn carts, etc. They are the best entertainment.

I had stayed there for one night to celebrate a special occasion. They had done everything they could to make the stay memorable and the celebration grand. The room was spacious and gave a Royal feeling. Super clean rooms and calm surroundings. During evening they have locals to perform some traditional dance which offers great entertainment. They offer wide variety of cuisines to dine in. Staffs were courteous and warm. There is a beautiful Mughal garden in the center offering picturesque view while adding to the beauty of the property. I wish I had time to stay there longer...

Taj group undoubtedly is synonymous with outstanding hospitality! its a fact that they treat their guests like a royalty. same was the case with this Taj property as well. their whole check in process in smooth, they complete it as u enjoy your refreshing welcome drinks after a tilak.&garland welcome. since its an ancient property converted into a hotel, it gives u a feel of royalty.it itself is a sight seeing in jaipur.lot of beautiful pictures can be clicked around the property. the rooms are super comfy. bathrooms perfect&tidy always stocked up with nice "forest essential"toiletries. Their breakfast is a huge feast with so much variety to choose from continental, Indian, English, southindian, fresh fruits and juices.it just spoils you crazy!the a-la-carte lunch & dinner menu was a Little limited for vegetarian Indian food, but whatever we ordered was just tasteful, authentic and awesome. Their staff IS courteous, well trained and always give you a pleasant big smile whenever they cross your path. During evening they have lovely rajashthani musical& dance performances in their courtyard which add a perfect cultural touch to your Jaipur trip. Their swimming pool is beautifully located and nicely maintained but since we visited during the time of heavy rains, we were unable to enjoy it. and there were lot of mosquitoes and insects biting us in the grass around the pool, which was a matter out of their control. The hotel management staff was continuously spraying insecticides, but during that weather,,,it was hardly of any help. last but not the least, their indoor play area and outdoor play area was well stocked and interesting, they had lot of options for young kids, elders as well as toddlers. A nicely maintained gym, tennis and badminton court, swings and slides for kids was a bonus.!i never came across such extensive play area in any hotel till date. though because of rains, we could not use outdoor play area but my 2year old toddler thoroughly enjoyed their beautifully maintained & well stocked indoor play room for kids. later we stayed for 2 days at Trident hotel Jaipur, but it dint even come close to the experience & hospitality of jai mahal place.! u can choose this place with your eyes closed.
