Jaipur was nearing the end of our visit to India so we had a fair idea of what to expect ... and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel has been decorated beautifully and the room we had was immaculate and roomy. The bathroom was spacious with a fabulous (enclosed) shower with hot water and great pressure - easily up to the standard of Western 5 star hotels! Wifi was available and reliable and the flat screen TV in the room was massive - although we didn't spend much time in there at all. The restaurant prices seemed relatively expensive so our driver took us elsewhere for dinner(s) but breakfast had a lovely selection and great masala omelettes. We had some laundry done and although it was 'cheap' by western standards they charged twice as much as some of the other places we stayed.

On presentation and comfort I could have easily rated them 5 stars, but there were a couple of small factors that let them down. Surprisingly, although we stayed for a few nights they only gave a small bottle of complementary water on the first night (other hotels replaced the water daily) ... and when we ran out of toilet paper it took 3 requests before we were given another packet.

I would stay there again though, if I was ever in Jaipur as it was clean and I can't recommend the bathroom enough!

Room Tip: Our room near the top was quiet once the restaurant closed

A very pleasant hotel in a residential area. The have been many comments about the manager Eric, some good some not so good. We found him to be very efficient and proud of the job he has. Yes this could come over as being forceful but I do not believe it is. He just wants to ensure that the guests are happy. I did not find him loitering for a tip!

The restaurant is on the roof and there is a local dancing show. It seems it may be father, mother and three children of 10 years and over. They all seemed somewhat weary and regrettably virtually totally ignored by the guests. We stayed two nights and it was similar on both evenings.

The food was good with generous portions. Breakfast however was in a windowless room and with grubby and dirty tables. The waiters seemed totally oblivious to this. You can have omelettes etc cooked to order.

What was very disappointing was the time in took to get our bill for our meals etc. We were leaving at 5am and had arranged to pay straight after dinner. I went down to reception after ordering tea for our room. After about 30 minutes of waiting at reception the bill still could not be finalised as the dinner bill had still not arrived. I was repeatedly told it was on the way. In frustration I went back up to the restaurant and collected it myself. No one was doing anything with it. I took it to reception and paid and went to our room. Our tea had still not arrived some 45 minutes after ordering it. We called and cancelled it and went to bed. It was after 10pm and we were leaving at 5 am. Shortly afterwards we were disturbed by knocking at the door it was our tea and also the receptionist. He had made a mistake with our bill. OK these things happen but to have him knocking at the door that late was not acceptable.

Reception is open 24 hours and we have to pass it to leave the hotel so there is no way anyone can abscond. Indeed we had to collect our two per packed breakfasts that Eric had arranged. Alas the reception forgot to give us our breakfast and in the early morning hurry of settling the outstanding bill and rushing to the airport we forgot to ask. Had Eric been around his would not have happened.

We chose to have a suite and I would thoroughly recommend booking one, it costs marginally more but is worth it

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. A refreshing tea to greet us before being taken to our room. Such a beautiful hotel with amazing detail in the decor, from the door handles of peacock and glass design, the cool patterned marble floors and staircase to the exquisite rooms, quiet, clean exotic bathrooms, great balconies where we could see peacocks in the trees. A wonderful roof top restaurant , great menu, and delicious food. The staff friendly and informative and helpful. I loved our stay here in Jaipur, it was a beautiful oasis to return to after our days outing with a lovely pool and garden and we had a roof top room with a great balcony.

This hotel is a must for anyone to stay in just for that privilege alone. We arrived late on the train and the hotel had arranged for us to be picked up. We were shown our palace room very large and suitably acquitted. We were on the top floor overlooking the restaurant which was really quiet. The food was excellent as was the service. Absolutely no faults. Jaipur is quite maddening as it is so busy.

Room Tip: Our room on the third floor had an excellent view of the surrounding homes. Please ensure when you e...

This was a real taste of India, this heritage hotel is tucked away from the main traffic and is a real treat. The staff cannot do enough for you. The rooftop restaurant serves an excellent choice of dishes and the music and dancing makes it a great all round experience.

We had a wonderful stay in this very beautiful hotel in Jaipur. The lobby and the rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, the bathroom is big and luxurious! The staff is friendly, especially Eric is a very reliable and helpful person. We had breakfast near the pool in the garden, which is much nicer than the restaurant, where they offer breakfast. Our dinner wasn't that great, but the atmosphere on the roof is nice.

Room Tip: the rooms on the roof (we had 504) are especially beautiful!

We stayed here for two nights. Very well looked after. Good restaurant, nice rooms, decent pool (though we did not use). No criticism of the hotel but Jaipur is a very noisy town - don't expect a restful nights sleep. But, to be clear that's Jaipur, not the hotel's fault!
