Beautiful hotel - well located, magnificent views, very nicely fitted out.
The rooms were comfortable, well appointed and fitted out in good taste.
Service was again a little slack - took 3 calls to get a faulty light repaired and restaurant service was not very good but general service other than that was ok.
Restarant was very nice, food good and acceptably priced.
General experience in the hotel was good and would recommend the hotel

How wonderful to arrive at the Trident after awful stay at a Delhi hotel.......just lovely!...gorgeous room with little balcony overlooking the garden, jasmine tree at my window... everything beautifully clean......very comfortable bed......delicious varied buffet .....fabulous room service....gorgeous pool....you can float around this hotel with no worries at all...what bliss.....staff moral seemed very high and every member of staff that I encountered could not have been more helpful and polite. Tips are only excepted in an envelope at the end of your stay to be evenly distributed...fantastic not to be looking for tips all the time!! Loved this hotel and will be going back soon!

Trident lives upto its standards of its 5 star hotels and staying in this hotel is not very different from staying in other trident hotels. the good things about this hotel were, the location, facing the jal mahal in jaipur provides a picturesque view from the rooms and its away from the hustle and bustle of the main city of jaipur in close proximity to the amber fort.
When checking in or booking try to take a lake view room as they have a better view and are much more romantic. The rooms are done up well and decent with a few elements of rajasthani architecture but not too obvious. Be sure to ask for a double bed room if travelling as a couple.
Food and service were ok and nothing special. Buffet is the same as it is in other 5 star hotels around india.
Overall its was a nice experience, though i would prefer staying in other properties in Jaipur too if i travel to jaipur again for holiday.

isn't it? Only this one wasn't ; not quite. All the usual facilities, good food & services were in place.

In fact everything was great until a security guy came out with a rifle to shoot the family of monkeys playing in the hotel garden. Well. we're not that keen on guns, so we had to leave them to it. We heard only one shot and, as a later check revealed no dead monkeys, hopefully he missed!

Things took a further downturn on the last evening of our stay; two requests for a small item of room service were ignored. After paying the bill & checking out the following morning I was hauled out of our car & back into the hotel to pay for said item (72p), despite it not being listed on the bill 2 minutes before.

That's not on, Hilton or anywhere else! If I ever stay in Jaipur again I'll keep on down the road until I come to the Jai Mahal Palace...
