i was on a holiday trip in Jaipur, and had kept a day free for shopping around in the city streets.
i happened to come across this structure, right across the road.
being tired, i thought a couple of hours in the cinema hall would be rewarding for my knees.
but i was totally spell bound when i entered inside, it looked as an 80's film set, with flocks of international tourists bustling around, clicking pictures.
watching the tourists enjoying a bollywood masala flick was truly an experience....

Brilliant way to spend an evening...
Worth investing in expensive seats (!) if you are taller than 5ft.

we liked it because it gave us a feeling as if we were in the 70 century.. the ambience and all was very traditional as if no change have been made.. but the gentry out there was not so good... so don't go with much high expectations and that to if you are a multiplex lover..

Bollywood was once seen through Raj Mandir.... those were yester-years and today the property is on the wane. The viewing experience is still good though. The projection system has been upgraded recently I guess and the pictures sounded great. The audio is still something they can work on. The seats have been done us., but they still need to work on the regal feel of Raj Mandir that we knew.
This was a must stop over for me when I visited Jaipur and I would very much love this to in its regal splendor - else this is nothing more than a regular movie hall.

It is worth watching inside the movie hall. You are permitted only if you watch a movie here. We went for 250 Rupees ticket and felt a royal treatment here. Don't miss the place, if you have time to watch a movie.

This hall is having a capacity of 1200 persons.
