Day 1 (Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Baapu Bazaar)
Note: Entry to all forts/ Palaces & Musem closes by 5 PM, start early morning.

Amber(Amer) Fort (Best Fort in Jaipur, an audio guide would be helpful. Beware of tourist touts trying to sell show you Rajasthani Handicrafts Factory)
Jaigarh Fort (For the weapons used by the Kings, the largest canon is placed at this fort)
Nahargarh Fort (The only important thing to see is the Rang De Basanti famed water reservoir 'Bawri'.)
Jal Mahal (You can only see it from a distance, good for Pictures)
Hawa Mahal (No point in going in. You can take pictures from outside)
Raj Mandir (Catch a movie at the famous Raj Mandir in the evening and feel like a king)

Day 2

City Palace (Suggested Duration - 2 hours) along with Janter manter which is near by
Baapu Baazar (For some shopping. Very Touristy. You can bargain a lot. For example - You can get a set of male and female puppets for 50-60 bucks though they'll quote 200 upwards)
Albert Hall - The museum (give 1 hour)
Choki Dhani- reach there by 4-5 PM, enjoy the culture food and the ticket price is 500 rs, which includes you 1 whole meal in their kitchen and is worth the price :) stay there by late.

I hope it helps you for a memorable experience! Enjoy your stay!

Delhi Magic arranged our tour complete with driver, guide and hotel and they were superb. Our driver and Magic’s representative met our flight at the airport and took us to our hotel.
Jaipur is an exciting place. It is the capital of Rajistan with over 3 million people. Now the Mumbai traffic was organised chaos and we thought that was scary. Jaipur is disorganised chaos. The people are very much into their gods and pray many times a day. We met our driver Karan who was going to be with us for the next few days. Karan arrived in a sparkling Toyota Innova and all the time we travelled it was always sparkling. With all the dust and traffic he must have worked hard to keep it so clean. There are so many temples that I told Nidhi our guide you must be very bad here to do so much praying. Then suddenly I thought of the traffic. If I lived here I would be praying 24/7. I have seen the traffic on TV and thought it was bad. Try driving in it (well were just a passengers) there is no gap someone won’t squeeze into. That 2 feet of road in front of you doesn’t belong to you and bikes, tri shaws, tuk tuks, motorcycles, scooters, cars buses and pedestrians, elephants, camels, a creature they call a pig and I call warthogs vie for that 2 feet. (Oh I forgot the Holy Cow) that is the only traffic calming they have in Jaipur. If there’s a cow everyone gives it plenty of room.
Yesterday we went to the Observatory Jantar Mantar and I loved it. Our guide Nidhi made it so interesting there were so many ways of telling the time by different types of architecture. We had a lot of fun working it all out. Some were quite small others great big ones. It is fantastic and then there were horoscope contraptions and in India before the parents decide a marriage partner for their sons and daughters they match their horoscopes if no good then they don’t get married. They also work out the best day to get married from this, Oh well it beats spinning a bottle or lucky dips I guess.
After a very interesting hour or so in the observatory we crossed over the road not a mean feat I can tell you to the City Palace. The whole thing was wonderfully preserved and we had a lot of resting and contemplating time!!
Today it was Amber Fort, decided to forego the elephant ride up there and our car took us up far more comfortable than the elephants and the jeeps that they transport you up in. From there you walk, I think I did wonderfully our guide Nidhi was really good and took us only on the rampways. In fact we probably only climbed about a dozen steps the rest was easy walking ramps. The hardest part is walking the first piece which is quite steep. We just walked slowly, stopping when we needed to. It is not a long way just steep. There were a lot of seats when we entered the fort where we could stop, rest and soak up the atmosphere. It was good we could sit down while our guide explained everything. As you are getting older standing with a crowd listening to a guide gets very tiring so having our own guide made sense and she looked after us wonderfully. One of the best things in the fort was the mirror tiles, they are stunning although there were a lot of amazing things we loved watching the elephants bringing the people into the fort. I was dubious of being able to get around in the fort but I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.
After we left the fort we saw the Water Palace it looked beautiful sitting there in the middle of a lake. We had an excellent guide Nidhi who gave us a wonderful insight into Jaipur its history and the people. We went to bed that night very tired but very happy people. Thank you Delhi Magic Tours

Jaipur was the third destination on a Golden Triangle Tour my two friends and I booked with Deepa and her team at Delhi/Jaipur Magic. We had three magical days in Jaipur and it was sincerely the highlight of our Indian adventure. It was clear to us that our guide for the three days, Devendra was a true Rajastani tour expert. Exceptionally knowledgeable about all of the sights we were seeing (his level of knowledge about Astronomy at the Jaipur Observatory and Maharaja history at the City Palace and Amber Fort was particularly noteworthy.) The pride he has for his culture and his work promoting it is evident and infectious. He is completely hooked up also. He seems to know many people around town, and commands respect wherever we go. He expertly led us around the Jaipur Elephant Festival securing us excellent vantage points for the parade and using his connections with the mahouts to allow us to pet and even ride an elephant. All the while he was expertly taking pictures for all three of us. We had no idea that he would be spending the entire day with us, but we were so thankful he did. He also gave us a tip about the government run Holi party happening the next day. He was going to be with a different group, but he would see us there if we wanted to partake. We are so glad we did as the Holi celebration was absolutely thrilling. The final tour at Amber Palace/Fort was visually stunning. We always felt exceptionally well taken care of by Devendra and our fantastic driver, Surendil. This is a real professional outfit that I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of travelling to India.

This was the only bad tour we took during our visit to India. We booked last minute through Deepka. It should be noted that she is located in Mumbai is simple an agent for the tour guides, and does not actually provide the tours. She provided us with explicit directions of where to meet the guide. However, it turns out the guide either never received these or did not understand where to meet. We waited 30 mins by the entrance of the Palace of Wind (which is on a side street) while the guide waited on the other side where there was no entrance. The guide did not even think to walk around after she could not find us there! Eventually we borrowed a cell phone from a passerby, and called the guide who didn't appear to know where the entrance to this famous building was. Once she finally arrive she gave us a five minute spiel of how qualified she was (apparently selected from 50,000 people by the Indian government). This constituted the most information she provided on the entire tour. She then gave a two minute talk on how Jaipur was a planned city, which seemed to be very similar to what was on the three page photocopied handout we were given (which also appeared to be snipets cut from internet sites). We then proceeded with the actual "tour". No questions were asked as to what we actually were interested in seeing - even though this was advertised in the description as being a tailored tour, and it was only my wife and I on this particular tour. Practically no information was provided as we went around the bazaar, except for information we could have figured out ourselves, i.e. "this is a place where they sell bangles" as we went pass a place that sells bangles. My wife and I (the only ones on the tour) wanted to stop at a few of the vendors but the guide seem uninterested and just continued walking on, stopping further down the street for us. Would have been nice if she could have helped tell us something about the products we were looking at, or the prices we should expect to pay. After about an hour we had enough. The guide asked if we wanted to see anything in particular before she left, and we said we would like to go back to the bangle area. She said it was too far - turned out to be less than 3 minutes on a rickshaw. We paid her and she just left, leaving us at the edge of the Bazaar. Very very disappointed. It appears that the "Magic" tours are generally highly rated which is why we went with the, but this guide was either not vetted by the agency or was having a very bad day.
