“An oasis of calm in Jaipur”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Whilst Jaipur is a bit of a disappointment, this hotel definitely isn't. It is located in a quiet, upmarket, part of town and is very well run by Mr Singh and his family. We had a beautiful room, superbly decorated in traditional Indian fashion. The sister hotel (Pearl Palace) is located within a few minutes walk and has a superb rooftop restaurant (The Peacock) offering quality food at great value prices. The Heritage has no restaurant but they do provide room service (from the Peacock, I imagine). However, we chose to walk over to the Peacock for breakfast and dinner for all meals.

Unbeatable at the price - a great stay.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Pearl Palace Heritage on a trip around Rajasthan. We had read the reviews on trip advisor, but did not prepare us for the wow factor we experienced when we got to the hotel.

The decoration of this hotel, undertaken and designed by the owner, Mr Singh, himself, is stunning. From the reception, to the stairwell, to the room itself, the decor is completely awesome. I've travelled extensively for work and leisure and stayed in places at all price brackets over the years, and this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed - for a bargain price!

The staff are lovely, and we met with Mr Singh at the rooftop restaurant at the sister hotel, the Pearl Palace, on one of the evenings. We talked with him for some time about his hotel, his family, and his attitude to life and work, and we were so impressed with everything, he came across as a lovely man, and his pride in his work comes through in every detail of your stay.

This is a fabulous place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation and hope to be fortunate enough to go back there one day.

This is a beautiful hotel. The pictures, the carvings, the tile, and thats just the hallway. lol. A unique old fashioned lock and key are the start to let you know this place is different. The staff as in most places in India are very service oriented and always smiling and ready to help. The rooms here are a real difference, India themed, very large like a suit with a seperate sitting area, large flat screen TV small refridgerator and the most romantic night lighting system. A large bathroom with modern amenties and nicely finished. Everything is extremely clean and very nicely done, makes for a wonderful stay.
Now the down side, currently they are under construction as they add onto the hotel and turn 1 floor into a restaurant. which is down side 2 no restaurant. you have to walk about a 1/2 mile to their sister hotel if you want to eat. Although they will do room service if you order far enough in advance they will deliver the food that is prepared at the sister hotel. I did this 1 morning for breakfast and it worked fine. I think that once the construction is complete and the restaurant done this place will get 5 stars across the board. A really excellent and unique place to stay.

Heartily recommend staying at the Pearl Palace Heritage. It is a beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and whimsical hotel, with excellent water pressure! We had an extra bed as there were three of us and the mattress was innerspring. We were very taken with the decor, which is quite fantastic, and also the extra touches, such as a newspaper under the door in the morning and fresh sheets, towels. The room also had a fridge and flat screen tv, hairdryer and bedside lamps (some of which are in rather short supply in India). Free wifi and free transfer to the Pearl Palace Peacock rooftop restaurant. The staff are helpful and Mr Singh is a wonderful host. Superlatives abound - book to stay here.

Truly recommendable, this hotel is really like a boutique hotel, with each room made in a different manner. As we arrived, the owner was having a painter paint his son on one of the walls in the reception... a bit eccentric and reminding us of the "older times". The bathroom was very clean for Indian standards (OK clean for European). We slept wonderfully.
The guesthouse is owned by the same guy as Pearl Palace Hotel, which has an awesome roof top restaurant.

This hotel is utterly stunning. The loving care that Mr Singh, the owner, is taking to create one of the most stylish, artistic supremely high quality hotel is unbelievable. Highly individual rooms, each one a gem. From the moment that you walk into the gorgeous lobby prepare to be amazed. What is truly unbelievable is the price. I have stayed in hotels that cost literally 10 times as much that have not been so wonderful. STAY!
