Sadly we only stayed here for one night. How we wish it had been more. It was a very welcome stop on an unwise fairly hectic tour. The food was wonderful, especially as all the vegetables are grown locally. We had the priviledge to be taken to the village by camel cart. Such lovely friendly people. The evening was filled with music and dance. This place was one of the highlights of our holiday.

We arrived and were greeted by music and dancers which put a smile on everyone's faces. The food was the best we had during our stay in India and the rooms were authentic but great. Very beautiful surroundings with mountains and a lovely garden.
We were sad to leave!

The staff are lovely and helpful. Food delicious and overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to thank everyone in the village for being so welcoming. Please remember this is a retreat from modern living. Enjoy.

We were looking to celebrate the new year weekend away from city in nature's lap and we got it plus 100% farm grown organic food. Its a comfortable drive of 4 hours from Delhi..inside a Rajasthani village exactly in the foothills of Aravalis. It was extremely peaceful & serene with lush green lawns and midst of nature. As to keep up with the nature there is no television or any background noise of any kind, which is excellent for a break from technology and unwind from work stress.. Although excellent mobile network :) .Lots of heritage places to explore are just around along with nature parks and trekking. It's a Family owned retreat so expect family treatment from owners and Zero comercialism -very friendly and polite staff. And if you are a foodie its a blessing..cos it got best home cooked fully organic healthy and Indian Food.
So go there to bask in country side fresh air/mesmerising nature beauty/out of the world healthy meals and lovely cottages with awesome cleaniness with equally feiendly staff and family treatment.
We planned our wedding there in future..and we will return :)

Room Tip: Pets are allowed so go there with your full family including furry member.:) Carry cash as they don...

As soon as you pass through the large iron gates of Geejgarh Retreat, you see an oasis laid out before you. Whilst the garden, with its palms, frangipani and sandalwood trees, offer a shaded retreat from the Indian sun, the Aravali mountain range surrounding the resort gives you an extremely relaxing and comfortable feel. Contrary to other hotels, you find a home-like experience with sumptuous organic food accompanied by their evening dance performance. It is a complete value for money proposition away from the noise of city in a calm, serene village of Geejgarh.

This stop was mid point of a hectic tend day tour of the Golden Triangle - after the madness of Delhi and Jaipur and before Agra. Couldn't have been timed better. To sit and spend the afternoon in the Indian country, nothing to listen to but birdsong, was idyllic. Individual cottages/huts with "thatched" roofs were basic but did the job although the plumbing was even more basic - BUT adequate. Food good and the staff always had a big smile on their faces - nothing was too much trouble. Bit of a hit and miss affair with the lighting at night but as we were in the Indian countryside in the middle of a thunderstorm it was to be expected. An extra delight was a camel trek on carts through the open countryside, just before sunset. Peaceful and serene. Wonderful. Did expect to get bitten here by mosquitoes as we were very much in the open but surprisingly not a one!
My everlasting memory of this wonderful "campsite" is of the many peacocks sat atop our bungalow roof silhouthetted against the sunset. Doesn't get better than this.
