“Great place to stay at Jaipur”
Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

Nice havelis with a very great service level. Nothing to say against the rooms wich are clean and cosy. We just finished diner and it was delicious... Even the dessert (and this is unusual for India). You can go to this hotel for your pleasure... One weak point is the noise of the horns in the street but the hotel is quite isolated so its ok!

Dear John, Thank you for your kind words about the Royal Heritage Haveli, the former Hunting Lodge of the family of Jaipur. During festivities, the traffic does increase, but we are in the process of putting sound proof Doors and Windows, which will take care of the horns, though you yourself agree, the Haveli is isolated and it does not bother much. Warm regards

My wife and I spent two nights at the Royal Heritage Haveli two weeks ago. Jaipur is a very busy place but the Haveli slows life down. On arriving you are greeted and escorted to your elegant room. We were invited to attend a pre dinner party with a bonfire and complimentary drinks. My wife ,who enjoys single malt whiskeys, was furnished with several different premium level drinks. The pre dinner party allows guests to meet each other in a relaxed situation. We found friends of friends that we wouldnt have met except in this convivial situation. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and this was a special one. The dinner was excellent and reasonably priced. Bravo !!

It was nice to stay in a hotel in Jaipur which is not too far from the center and yet is quiet and relaxed. Built on an old porperty, the really nice part about RHH is the quality of thier rooms and service. The rooms have been decorated beautifully, new furnishings with a lovely finish, tasteful and in keeping with the age of the property. Thier service was excellent - I was travelling with my in-laws who cannot tolerate much spice, and the serving staff made every effort to ensure the food was tasty yet mild. Breakfast was lovely as well with the serving staff catering to all requests. We spent a lovely evening around a small bon fire having our drinks and chatting - very atmospheric! I would definitely come back to RHH when I return to Jaipur.

Do not be fooled with the plain facade as you enter a huge black gate - ok - so the manicured lawns and the clean driveway start to give you another impression; then you walk through the lawns, stepping on the square stone pieces in the pathway and enter a quaint setting with a sitting area on one side(an electric kettle with tea/coffee sachets is a thoughtful gesture toward any tired waiting guest), and two huge trunks-on-wheels from another era, placed on the other side; but what catches your attention is a lovely Shirdi Sai Baba idol right in front of you(every early morning, a staff member diligently cleans the area, then lights incense and the oil lamp); steps on the right take you up to the main courtyard; mind you, all this while, the good impressions keep building up. You may walk to your room around there, or may be taking narrow stone staircases(I love those, reminds me of old houses in our villages) for rooms upstairs.
And thats when the impressions soar - as you get taken in by the grand novelty of stepping into royalty - inconspicuous up until now behind those bare yellow walls. The room is beautiful!! A Marvel in Marble!!!
We friends stayed 2 nights as part of a wedding group booking... and what luxury!!!! We had access to a few different rooms that were booked, (a definite plus to the chaos at such occasions... as between friends, whoever got access to a comfortable bed after witnessing wedding ceremonies on those freezing nights, conked off to sleep, leaving the original occupants no choice but to take some extra-mattress bed arrangements made up so thoughtfully in the bigger rooms) so we can safely vouch for the class and comfort in all room-size options there - where the small ones are really cozy and not cramped at all, in terms of space utilization - the huge glass doors are a great idea; the big rooms are an absolute delight of taste - the colors, furniture, beds, the low seats, and the artwork on the ceilings - immaculate.
The ornate marble interiors, the plain original exteriors, the small modern looking pool, the lovely courtyards and lawns(I especially love one really old tree in a side courtyard) - it all adds up to a complete experience - rustic and urban.
Not very far from the railway station or the bus stand and main markets; and the airport would be about 35 mins to an hour, depending on the traffic. So this is a very good option for travelers.
The staff is humble. The food and service is equally good.

The road the haveli is located in is not too nice but once inside, the haveli is fine. The rooms are large, comfortable and quaint. Plenty of small and large courtyards that add character as well as nice pool area. However, I felt the haveli could do with some improvement and attention to the grounds & exterior to make it truly lovely

Located in the principality of Khatipura, Jaipur, this quaint Haveli has been restored to a degree that surpasses its original self. Each of the 15 suites are unique and capture beautifully the myriad culture rich elements of Jaipur state. Rooms are peppered subtly with artifacts that encapsulate the spectrum of various art forms found in Rajathan. Aunthentic cuisine and genuine service make this 'Gem' a must stay in Jaipur!

Room Tip: Ask for the Blue-room! A personal favorite!
