Stayed here during July 2009 on a business trip.
*People are very friendly, almost annoyingly so. The food in the restaurant is very good and well priced for the area.
*Location is right in the heart of Jaipur. I didn't get to see much of the city, but from what I saw this area is pretty bad. I felt completely safe here, just the abundance of beggars and street merchant hastling us was overwhelming.
*No electrical outlet in bathroom. The one spare outlet in the room was worn out and it would hardly work.
*The beds were the hardest thing I've ever slept on. A piece of cardboard on concrete would have been more comfortable.
*The first night there was no hot water and no air conditioning. They said they would take care of it next day. It was the same the next night. We let our Indian business associate know, he fixed it very quickly for us. The third night we had fairly warm water and fair air conditioning. This continued for the rest of our stay untill the last night when the air conditioner stopped working again.
*There was no shuttable window in our bathroom. Just slatted glass window. The noise from the street at times was very loud. Especially during the nights. I guess because of the heat, construction projects get done around 11pm-1am. The sounds of shovels and hammers isn't the best sleeping conditions. We did keep the bathroom door shut and this helped keep the noise down. We had to keep it shut to keep what little air condtioning there was inside the hotel room.
*Our room was dirty. Very dirty. The bathroom was incredibly dirty. Corroded fixtures, mold and mildue, general dirt and grime.
*The place is just worn out. The furniture is stained and worn. The furntiure in the restaurant and bar are all stained with dirt from being handled.
By Indian standards this might be a great place but by western standards it is a flop house. I would have found another hotel but due to business relationships I was stuck.
