“Chokhi dhani”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

The idea behind creating a village scenario and environment is good.

But the kind of money they charge (500 to 1000 Per head) for the average food, that too after standing in line for 45 mins to an hour or so.. a big negative. Still a one time visit I'd say.

“Brilliant experience”
Reviewed December 8, 2013 via mobile

Our friend from Jaipur took as here and it was great. We went in the evening and everthing was nicely lit. You pay entry which includes food and entertainment. Some extra food and attractions (camel ride, elephant ride, fortune telling, etc) cost extra. It is also a good place to buy souvenirs at reasonable prices.

“Indian Village Fare”
Reviewed December 6, 2013

This is a ethnic theme park located outside Jaipur.

We received a traditional welcome as we entered, and were ushered to the several 'ticket' counters. We were given a choice of having ethnic dinner ticket or the royal thali ticket. We opted for the royal thali one. The ticket gives you entry to the fare and dinner. The royal thali dinner in a privateish less crowded airconditioned environment with a dining table and chair and no Q. We felt that the regular ticket would have been better, as the dining environment is more ethnic, though less comfortable. Both tickets grant you entry to the fare.

The fare has all the so called 'Indian' themes.. They have a Snake charmer, astrologers, camel ride, animal cart ride, a village blacksmith, elephant ride, puppet show, archery, air gun shooting, ethnic bowling, chat walas, chai walas, photographer, stuntmen, ethnic snack vendors and ethnic junk/artifact/textile vendors etc.. All on pay and use basis. Charges are reasonable. Kids will love it.

The dinner is a traditional vegetarian Rajasthan thali/meal. The quality is average.

It's worth an experience. The fare starts at 5:30 PM and takes about 3 hours to experience. Recommended !

“Awesome experience...”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

This was my 2nd visit to Chokhi Dhani, Jaipur. It's an awesome place to experience the flavours of Rajasthan. It's like a big villege fair going on. But food was not as good as it was in my last visit (which was in 2007).

“Good Ambience Poor Food - Disappointed”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

We went to the location with a lot of expectations but were sorely disappointed. Such amazing locale and facilties but very poor service. The food was stale and the service was worse. People serving were lost and interested in only clicking photos with little attention to the actual task of serving food. We had to actually yell to get the food for which we paid a kings ransom. I have been to other such villages in the state and the scene is very different.
One gets a very distinct feeling of being not welcome here. I shared this with my fellow travellers and they express the same lack of service.
I wish the management see this review and get their act together.
