“For first time visitors only”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Read about the chokhi dani village reviews on ta and got confused with mix reaction by people about the place.
I will say worth for first time visit only, its a village theme with modern make-up. Entry is rs500 which include cost of food. You can enjoy your evening out there as its open after 6 pm only, elephant ride camel ride boating puppet show and dance. Every where its written no tip but all artistic demand tips. Food is good if you like rajasthani food they serve you hot meal and actually force you eat. Lot of food is being wasted by people as either they don't like or they are full its sad to see so much food getting wasted, management of place must look into this.. credit card is not accepted there.

“Huge disaapointment ! This dhani is not 'chokhi'”
Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

This is place which is actually overhyped trying to prove itself as a ethnic Rajasthani village with great hospitality which actually it is NOT.
This actually badly planned highly commercialised resort surviving on it past glory & leaving no opportunity to extort money out of poor tourist .
You first spend an hour finding a parking at this badly planned venue then go on a long que to buy exorbitant tickets and then enter it .... By the time you reach in you r already tired!
Food is unhealthy oily unsafe & unhygienic @ a value of 500 to 700 per person. Then also u have to pay at each stall in resort to enjoy ! Pay for each ride ! Give tips to each show .... Keep giving bucks!
Food is not hygienic at all . I went in their kitchen accidentally and yeah it was horrible
Mosquitoes , flys ,, you might develop gastroenteritis !
Last but not the least these guys are not hospitable as they project .... You can avoid it as there r many better places in jaipur

“A routine affair”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

Visit to Jaipur is always accompanied with a trip to Chokhi Dhani which is a few kms drive on the Kota road. The road is good too much traffic at night. CD is very crowded with visitors and one has to hunt for parking. Once the entry tickets are purchased the traditional welcome with a Tika and there's plenty to do inside. Elephant rides, cart rides, camel rides, magic show, cultural programs, shopping, games, etc, however one has to pay for it separately. The food is the main affair which is a Rajasthani delight with gatta curry, daal bati choorma, maal pua etc...the hospitality is great and they make you eat and eat until you cannot get up. However, this has declined over the years.

“Whole Rajasthan at one place I have seen.”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

First of all salute to the eprson who had thought to have such concept. This idea of having such concept shall stay alive, interested and profitable till the time Rajasthan exists in world map.
I never thought that this place would be having so many things to keep you busy and energetic till the time you are there.
They made you eaten worst then pig. I like the serene smile and intention of service from each person at their dining area. Food was amazing ofcourse but too many things to eat.....which we loved so much.
For first time visitor too many things to see and learn about Rajasthan.I like the interaction of the lady dancer their with the visitor. My wife did enjoy giving them company and dancing with them.
What i did not like was that everyone who works their expect you to give some tips to them.it is good to earn money but it is embarassing sometime when you don't have loose money and people looking at you. Second I also did not like mens dancing in horrible way with the lady dancer there.Visitor must be in limit to have fun and not to destroy the serenity for their own joy.
Best part is that ALCOHOL is not permitted there.
But Must visit at once.

“nothing special about this place...”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

i went there with my family to spend an evening and luckily were there on time and need not to spend much time in the queue for tickets. we entered the village and tried to figure out what's where . it was little confusing initially and not able to find out where to go . then started moving further without thinking too much and find some rides for kids . not too much fascinating even for kids but something is better then nothing . moved further and did not find much things to do other then rajasthani dance in one corner or other . enjoyed puppet show for a while and then magic show. it was dark by then and roam around a bit in art & craft section. it was 7:30 by now and we were trying to find what to do . then we had seen long queue and wondering what is that for . it was for dinner and nothing else. we decided to have dinner in open restaurant and waited for about and hour for our turn . it was 9 by then and we had a quick dinner. Roti and vegetable was not good at all . enjoyed khichdi and halwa at the end and moved to hotel .

dont have too much expectation while going to this place.
